What are your thoughts on married couples having separate bedrooms? Do you think this occurs due to NOISE/SNORING, or other reasons? Would you consider a separate bedroom from your spouse?

View Full Version : Relationships : Sleeping In The Other Room CarrieMonet 07-30-2004, 04:48 PM What are your thoughts on married couples having separate bedrooms? Do you think this occurs due to NOISE/SNORING, or other reasons? Would you consider a separate bedroom from your spouse? kente417mojo 07-30-2004, 05:15 PM I don't think that's normal, IMO. I could never do it. I need to be able to touch and feel while I sleep. That's the only way I sleep good is being able to grab a little booty here and there. I guess if you're with a person that snores, talks or farts alot in their sleep that can be a little annoying, but I don't see how that could work. The intimacy seems like it would suffer. Being in bed with someone is very important to me. :smokin: CarrieMonet 07-30-2004, 05:17 PM Hey, I'm with you on that one. Not only just the intimacy, but I'd like to make love as much as possible or when the mood hits. I can't imagine a lifetime of having my mate in another room. But I'm assuming there are reasons some couples choose to live this way. kente417mojo 07-30-2004, 05:32 PM Yeah, i just don't see how that would make things better. In my opinion it would only make things worse and more distant. It wouldn't even feel like a marriage. It's like you'd have a nice dinner and watch a movies and maybe a little kissing, then you go upstairs and go to seperate rooms. Or after the "deed" one of you has to get up and walk back your room. That's not HOT. If you get an urge in the middle of the night, instead of rolling over and kissing your spouses neck or lips (or other stuff) you have to put on your slippers and walk all the way to the other room. Too inconvenient for me. PurpleMoons 07-30-2004, 06:05 PM I know alot of older couples have the two seperate bedrooms mostly because one takes ill. As for me, I rather see and feel my mate next to me. Snoring and all. :boring:  kente417mojo 07-30-2004, 06:07 PM I know alot of older couples have the two seperate bedrooms mostly because one takes ill. In my opinion only..I just couldn't imagine separate bedrooms, in no shape form or fashion, because when we got married, we took a vow to love each other til death do us part ...now I don't conciter ... snoring, farting, teeth griting (which I hate), Illness, or old age a death do us part kinda problem, now I or him will vacate the premises in a "new york minute, if things ain't right, and vows or no vows...I won't stay in a love-less relationship where he's in one room, and I'm in the other. That just simply :nono: won't work, because I refuse to sleep "single" ...in a double bed. PurpleMoons 08-02-2004, 12:04 AM kente417mojo said What about sleep-farting? LOL! Of course Brother! But really, I think that sleeping in the same bed is a part of marriage, an important part. jamesfrmphilly 08-07-2004, 11:45 PM having separate bedrooms helped my marriage last a lot longer than it would have in the same bed. I've never been joined at the hip with anyone. :boring: jazzymoonchild 08-07-2004, 11:49 PM I have to say that of we are sleeping in separate rooms, we may as well live in separate houses because there's a whole lot more going on besides farting and teeth grinding! I need my King next to me in the midnight hour. caramelpython 08-08-2004, 04:59 AM 2 bedrooms? yeah I can do that no problem, why sweat it? I get 2 beds? Ok before you get me wrong! rember who this is (Mr Extreme) When i say 2 bed I mean I get to have my woman in any bed in the house...LOL We going at it from bedroom 2 bedroom believe that. (just my opinion) queentswana 08-09-2004, 11:22 AM I have to say that of we are sleeping in separate rooms, we may as well live in separate houses because there's a whole lot more going on besides farting and teeth grinding! I couldn't agree more...love and respect, over-rides all! kente417mojo 08-09-2004, 12:33 PM I think if the love was there then there is no way you'd want to sleep without that person. It's not even about the sex (not all the time) but just having a woman's nice, soft body next to me all night is something that I can't pass up. :shades: MzBlkAngel 08-09-2004, 01:01 PM 2 bedrooms? yeah I can do that no problem, why sweat it? (just my opinion) you have no basis to make that statement and should probably rethink it. :hot: Lucky 08-12-2004, 04:22 PM I know alot of older couples have the two seperate bedrooms mostly because one takes ill.
