View Full Version : Haiku : Pretty Lie or Ugly Truth

Which one do I choose
Pretty lie, or ugly truth
What a decision

Pretty lie looks good
On the surface, but what looms
Is truth you don't know

Ugly truth removes
The veil, honesty exposed
In gruesome detail

I'll choose ugly truth
Heinous as it is, at least
My eyes are opened

they both come off raw
pretty lie or ugly truth
choice alwayz unknown

Both choices are raw
Pretty truth would be best, while
Shunning ugly lie

Sometimes life does not
Hand you the easy decisions
What do you choose then?

When both would cause pain
I'd choose the lesser of both
Evils, then I'd pray

The truth hurts deeply
A lie cuts even deeper
No difference in pain

I take the high road
I choose to do what is right
Lies will dig your grave

A conscience of clarity
Is a soft pillow
Truth is always best

The truth can free us
So says that saying of old
But can we face it?

Better to be poor with truth...
Than riches with lies.
Why live in the dark? :look:

the sun is shining
the earth can only flourish
oh where is the rain

why is truth ugly
that ag-ed honest face shines
soothes and makes us grow

and those pretty lies
look at those ugly deep scars
no beauty lives here

Once the cards are dealt
And the hand of fate you see
You can ride or fold

To fold would be to
Give in to the pretty lie
Letting looks deceive

Ride like the wind, free
Take that ugly truth, release
Let honesty rule

Thank you ladies, my sentiments exactly...
