TSWANA, TSWANA ...

Tswana, strange it may seem in this life that we live,
we often don't get in return what we give.
We search, then we shed, tears of joy, tears of pain,
then we brush ourselfs off just to try it again.
But those who are strong never give up their plight,
though hard it may seem, they will win their fight.
From bounces and bruises, through jostles and twirls,
we're determined to be who we are in this world.
Can you, my Queen, understand all that I say?,
or could I be wrong to be speaking this way?
From my mind and my body, my spirit and soul,
I feel that your heart is made of pure Gold.
For gold through it's tarnished never loses it's shine,
and so I must treat your heart like it's mine.
For inside my chest with my own I would keep,
your heart next to mines so I'd feel every beat. But wait, there's more to this Afrikan Man,
who's now linked with more than his heart understands.
cause you've reached in my soul like no one's done before.
As if God came herself and said "Open My Door".
Tswana, Tswana, are these words ringing clear?
and can you hear all that I mean you to hear?
For I'm just a poet, with words I do part,
But you Tswana, ...I write in my heart!
