Got outta bed this morning
Children ready in a flash
On our way to school
Out the door we dash

It's beautiful today
The kinda day I can dig
wanted to get some things done early
So I went to the gig

Did what I had to do
In three hours I was done
The rest of the day to enjoy
Soakin up in the sun

Headed home to the hill
Grabbed a quick bite to eat
Couldn't wait to sit back
and prop up my feet

Got to the door, turned the lock
Then flicked on the light switch
On my face the lQQk of shock
Out my mouth.."aint this a b****"

Got my phone, called around
To see if anyone else was down
Saw myself sittin lonely
called the light company to clown

She went on about a minute
Talkin bout money past due
Jus dropped yall off cheese last week
But still I got screwed

So much on me,
I jus can't bare
Still the world turns with no care
Then wrote this poem jus to share

Today, this is what happened to me
I wanna scream...I wanna shout
Couldn't see the light for darkness
The Day the Light Went Out :cry:
