Hello chatters and members. I wanted to make a small complaint about a rule.

Today in Open Mic I typed in the word Lying. and I was told by a moderator that the Lying word was profanity. I refrained from using the word, but I Wanted to make a comment about it.

Aren't we grown ups here. How can Lying be a profane word. You can say Die, you can say kill, you can say death but you cannot say lie. I am sorry but I think we really need to look at this rule again if it exists.

I would be lying if I thought this rule was not a bunch of BS. I am sorry but I feel that the word lying is not a profane word. I will refrain from using the word in Chat however,

The word lying is certainly not profanity; however, another chat/forum rule is not to disrespect other members. I was not present in the room, so I don't know what happened. But maybe the present moderator felt that you were disrespecting another member, that will certainly get you a warning. Again I don't know the exact situation, but if you have any question, it is best to speak with that moderator.

The word lying is certainly not a ban word.
I was not there so i really dont know the situation
but as long as your not disrespecting a family member
in using this word i see not a problem.
But as you use the word/words please watch
how you use them...Words are POWERFUL
all by them self.

Hello Brother MANASIAC ... i wasn't present either, and can't imagine a Moderator saying that the word "lying" is profanity. Which Moderator was it? In order to address this properly we'll need to know that.

While i want to speculate ... suggest that they must have been kidding or something ... i won't since i didn't witness it ... :wink:

I think you should take it up with that Moderator because it may have been taken outt context.
