Bush using 9/11 as tool in campaign

President Bush is now using images of the 9/11 attacks in his ads to fuel his political campaign. That's just sad. Trying to capitalize on the loss of all those people just to suit his own needs. This should show all of these "all of a sudden patriots" what this clown is really about. He can care less about 9/11 or the well-being of this country. He's doing the same thing he did when he tried to get the country behind him in an effort to invade Iraq.

If you remember on 9/10/01 Bush's ratings were in the toilet, and even Republicans were second guessing their decision to vote for him. Then on 9/12/01 Bush became the greatest president who ever lived. Americans in general tend to rally behind the president during times of crisis, and that horrific event changed public opinion of Bush 180 degrees in just 2 days. Fear wouldn't allow people to criticize Bush, and he used that fear to divert attention from Bin Laden to Saddam. However, GWB like his father (and like Regan) is incapable of handling domestic concerns like the economy, wages, inflation, jobs, health care, social security etc. They are "war" presidents, and only during times of war can they function. The economy is in turmoil, technology & industrial jobs are going oversees, people are losing their homes, and filing bankruptcy because they can't pay their bills, and Bush does not know how to respond. Therefore, of course Bush is using 9/11 images to promote his re-election campaign...It is all he has. It is all he knows, to play off the fears of the American people. :deal: Besides trying to convince people that another 9/11 is on its way...and only George W. Bush can stop it, what else does he have to offer?

“On April 19, 1995, around 9:03 a.m., just after parents dropped their children off at day care at the Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City, the unthinkable happened. A massive bomb inside a rental truck exploded, blowing half of the nine-story building into oblivion. A stunned nation watched as the bodies of men, women, and children were pulled from the rubble for nearly two weeks. When the smoke cleared and the exhausted rescue workers packed up and left, 168 people were dead in the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil.” (CNN)

Oddly enough, President Clinton, who was constantly considered by the Republican Party as having no substantive character, did not purposely debase himself by publicly calling to mind images of a horrific terrorist attack, or his performance under public pressure to capture and punish those responsible for his own personal gain. This self-serving tasteless act of conjuring up the dead in order to prophesy a second term in office marks a new low for the American Presidency, and the ghosts of those killed in that tragedy will come back to politically haunt President Bush when the 911 commission publishes its’ report on his administration’s incompetence.

The Bush administration is hard at work to ensure that the findings of the 911 commission does not get published until after the elections. I wonder why?
