i float in calm waters
right off the coast of
my private beach
clouds sprinkled across the sky
the bright sun's reflection
dances on wave peaks
and i drift weightlessly
on the tide

as the breeze redirects its course
i swim to shore before
the tide beneath threatens
to carry me out to sea
the warm black sand welcomes me
i stretch my body
and lay down to bathe in the sun
it coats my skin with a darker hue
it blesses my eyes with rest
and still i float
in weightlessness
