All writers must have a hidden skill
Which allows them to communicate what they feel
And be able to make it seem so real
Or just give the average reader a simple thrill.
What is it about the pen and the pad,
That causes these thoughts to flow so rapid?
Perhaps it’s the touch of the pen,
Cradled between my fingers, held tightly in hand,
Waiting to be used, leaving trails of wonder.
The pen is anxious, angered if there is a blunder.
Paper softly waits for the gentle caress
Lying quietly, hoping the pen does not create a mess.
“Oh what a feeling!” the paper can truly attest,
“Surely my strokes are good” the pen begins to jest,
“Please do not leave, it can not be time to go?”
The pen only nods, for the writer has ended his flow.

It's just something about words, individually they do not provide comfort,
but strung together, like a beautiful tapestry, it warms the heart,
They can also be very damaging, leaving scars in their wake
if fused with all the emotions that are born in hate...
