me
Walking down a country lane
Near sunrise
Alone and thinking
The grass still wet
From the dew that formed
As it obeyed its nature
Just me unalarmed
All alone
But not a bit lonely
Going nowhere really
It feels a bit chilly
But i don't mind
Just walking to find
How i lost my connection
Our love was near perfection
i thought
Or maybe
i just bought
What you sold me
Believed all that you told me
It's strange that way
But i'm still me
And in this way
i'll go on
Even though you're gone
Not like before
Because now you are in my memories
Which is more good than bad
Yes, i'm a bit sad
But mostly i'm thankful
For what i got
And i'm never totally without
For i was taught to love myself
And once one has paid that cost
They can never be totally lost.

Really feeling this piece. There was something that was so tranquil and serene about your words. You made them come to life. Nice piece.

Stay focused,

Ujima
