it was truly unexpected
u know i always wondered if my poetry had mass appeal
u guys let me into your family and i am grateful for that

i will enjoy this week and print out this page of responses

after my "retirement" i think i wrote like 4 poems
i can't be like jay and drop a black poetry collection

i take this award seriously cuz i see poetry not only as expression and fine arts
but as a medium to connect to other individuals such as I

once again thank you to everyone whoever responded to or read anything i wrote
