View Full Version : Relationships : Romantic Ideas
blakverb 05-28-2001, 06:08 AM Okay me brothers and sisters. I want to know what are the things that you do when you are "being" romantic (give a brother five ideas) with your mate? I will go out on a limb and proclaim myself as the one who wrote the book on romance and have a plethora of romantic ideas, but, I want to know ya'lls first.
N2urSoul 05-28-2001, 09:13 AM Blak~ I'm gon' play the devil's advocate for a moment...
It's one thing to have "ideas" or thoughts of "how-to" be romantic., but for me the real question or test is how many folk actually put romance into action and/or just do it?
Often times 'romance' is in the eye of the beholder ~
With all that said, here are some ideas~
5. Surrender to your mate, doing the things that he/she
wants you to do (even when it's something you
don't normally do)
4. Plan an entire day and evening to spend together
creating activities that you both like to do
3. Write him/her a romance .... i.e. write him/her a love
letter expressing your most intimate feelings of love
then read it to him/her out loud
2. Kiss your partner in the middle of a sentence
1. Start every day with a smile and a kiss--
End everyday with a smile and a kiss
shaneak 09-28-2001, 02:47 PM I'M GONNA TRY.. EVEN THOUGH I WAS EXTREMELY LATE.
IF YOU GET OFF EARLY
1. Cook your man a good meal... maybe even surprise him with something different.. Now you got to get yall timings right okay... While the food is cooking.. you run his bath water... he gets home.. candles lit.. take him straight to the tub.. Cause of course you want him clean... By the time he's done.. the food will be ready.. Put in a video and watch it until you're done eating.. then.. let him rest lay back on the couch and give him a nice foot massage.. and anything else you would like to...
2. Love... even though they don't say it everyday.. say i love you everytime you feeling like saying it.... Always let them know how much you appreciate them....
Just Ride
3. Go to a nice restaurant and who ever turn it is to pay.. pays.. enjoy a good meal over a nice conversation... And then when you leave their don't go home.. Go riding.. Enjoy you and your partners company just by site seeing and conversing about all the good things that surround you both...
4 & 5. I'll just agree with everything else N2 said..
t-mas! 11-16-2001, 01:05 PM - find a view overlooking the city...slow dance underneath the stars...while your favorite slow jams play in your vehicle...
- comfortable silence...while being held in the arms, in which, you belong...
- love letters...love notes...nothing elaborate...just sincere expressions from the heart and soul...(this helps sustain closeness in your relationship)
- flirting with your mate...like you did, before he/she happily submitted to you...
- simply, turn to your mate and say, I LOVE YOU...and the look in your eyes should tell the story...
*when being romantic...please allow your passion for love and life to shine through...don't hold back...just let your heart rule...and your body will respond accordingly...a lot of times, the most romantic experiences...come from the simplest things...things unplanned

PurpleMoons 01-29-2005, 12:35 PM Awww mannn, Brother Rich! You just named my five romantic things to do! Hahahaha Now, I'm gonna have to name five new ones!
1) The power of touch can do wonders. Try slowly tracing over every part of your mate face, gently with one finger.
2) A Pinic for two under a the open sky, near a large tree. Having deep discussions while taking a midnight stroll.
3) If you live together, planning weekends away from home, "LIke renting a cabin in the wilderness."
4) A little role playing every now and then.
5) Writing short fictional stories about each other and then sharing them with your mate.
oh I have to add one more.
6) Playing a game of pool is romantic too. Exspecially if you don't know how to play, and your mate have to stand close behind you to help position you for the shot. If you know how to play, a little competiviness is always fun too.

PurpleMoons 01-29-2005, 03:39 PM Oh yes, Brother Rich! Those are wonderful Ideas also.
While you getting ready for the big V-day, consider trying the blindfold game. The test to see how much your partner really trust you, while you provide things to taste and touch. This one is very stimulating for the mind as well.
$$RICH$$ 01-30-2005, 03:12 AM that sound like fun and a great way to a romantic evening
anybody else have some hot romantic tips for a day along
with the one u love ????
watzinaname 01-30-2005, 05:24 AM Hmmmm....Well, indoor picnics are always nice, just spread a blanket or comforter on the floor, add some tasty goodies(you can be very creative here), some wine and some soft music, and you're good to go.
Games can be a lot of fun. Let's see, there's strip poker, truth or dare...One little game I think is fun, is drawing from a bowl filled with "suggestive" commands that the two of you have written down, and playfully acting them out....
So many different ways to enjoy each other's company. This is a fun thread.
Akilah 01-30-2005, 11:42 PM Have a picnic in the middle of ur living room floor... especially nice if you have a fire place...lean back on big comfy pillows...Dress in your nicest night clothes/lounge wear (lingerie, silk boxers etc..) feed each other strawberries dipped in chocolate and drink champagne or sparkling cider... listen to "After Hours" by George Duke (sensual instrumental jazz)... read romantic poetry to each other...turn the lights down low...burn fragranced candles and incense... let the romance take you away...

If I'm going to have a picnic in my house...might as well be in my bedroom. Why go all the way to the living room, if that is where we are going to end up anyway?
Akilah 01-31-2005, 07:24 PM If I'm going to have a picnic in my house...might as well be in my bedroom. Why go all the way to the living room, if that is where we are going to end up anyway?
Oh yeah... that's always fun too :flirt: *giggles* but there's really no reason it has to end up in the bedroom...

Peace & Love
