"SILENT NIGHT, HOLY NIGHT..."

The popular Chrismas song "Silent Night" contains the following words: "round yon virgin, mother and child." What most people don't realize when they sing these words is that the word "yon" in the song is actually a contraction of the word "young." When sung as such the phrase make sense:"round young virgin, mother and child"...

According to Jewish rabbinical law, a female is considered a full-grown woman at the age of 14. Jesus' mother Mary (i.e., Miriam) was 14 when she became impregnated in the year 8 BC. However, it might have been that the early church fathers thought the words in the Christmas song "Silent Night" that I have alluded to were too risque, and they didn't want to encourage young female admirers of Mary to emulate her and become pregnant when they reached age 14. Thus the words, "round YON virgin, mother and child"...

(The word "yon" is short for "yonder," an Old English word that means, "over there." Its counterpart is "hither," which means "here." One would say, "come hither" and "over yonder." There is, "hither, tither and yon," which means, "here, there and over there.")

The popular song "White Christmas" was written by Irving Berlin, a Jew whose real name was Israel Isidore Baline...and what is truly ironical about these "Christmas Carols" is that many of these songs were written by Jews, who don't believe in Jesus!

The original title of this song was in German..."STILLE NACHT, HEILIGE NACHT"...the original lyrics were written by Joseph Mohr, and the melody was composed by Franz X. Gruber in 1818. It is said that there exist over 300 translations of the song in the world.

Christmas is the most important Christian holy day. Since it celebrates the birth of the Christian world’s Messiah, and since Jews do not accept Jesus as Messiah, Christmas cannot come within the area of Jewish celebration. Yet the Jews are the greatest promoters of this Christian holiday. This is so because - more than any other time of the year - their financial profits and gains are huge...

(Btw, the idea of the Trinity is incompatible with the religion of Judaism.)

There is no tradition in Judaism of celebrating birthdays as holidays. The Bible does not record birthdays...the New Testament does not record the date of Jesus' birth, or even indicate the season. The New Testament does not mandate or even describe any annual celebration of the nativity. The various Christian groups around the world have different dates. Roman Catholics and Protestants (who broke off from the Roman Catholics) use December 25, but the Eastern Orthodox use Jan. 6, and the Armenians have yet another date about a month later...

SayWord, please discontinue this discourse and move on. Keep the discussion on the topic and not the individual.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Peace!

NNQueen, if you read what he said, you'll understand why I asked if he was calling me a monkey. He used my quote, I thought it was funny so I said that was cute. Then he said I am, then I mentioned the other post he put up. He told me monkeys are cute too. But if you want me to chill, I will.

SayWord: You like hearing yourself speak? (Responding to my post and/or thread...)

Aqil: I say what I feel dog, adjust to that...:) (quoting part of SayWord's tagline...)

SayWord: That's cute.

Aqil: And so are you...:)

SayWord: That was a gay comment. I thought you condemned them?

Aqil: Not really, SayWord...monkeys are cute...:)

Sayword: Am I a monkey now?

To which I did not respond...

As you can see, I did not say "monkeys are cute too"...
