MY WEEK - wow, never did I expect this . . .thank you, not often I am rendered speechless, actually only when I am here!!! Not only am I coming into my own as a woman, finding love in past times and old friends, but poet of the week and my birthday (27 this Friday), all too much:



thanks to all who gave me the space
a chance to express at a furious pace
whatever my heart and head feel
for whatever we do here, it's done real
no punches held, but we do hold hands
and noone ever making demands
or asking for more than your ready to give
because of your www., my poetry found a place to live
to let me and my energy get off.
and, with all the isht that I've been through
a week for me seems long overdue
(but much appreciated all the same)
for a title i've never searched to claim
and certainly noone has ever handed over title
all of you in my life is what is really vital
from angelicsage, bluewater and triniti
not to forget the lovely golden one or the masters of divinity
sir $$rich$$ and khasm
always making me explode into orgasm
plus, newly loaded poets with fresh threads
constantly leave me bobbing my head
can't express the love I feel
when I feed off a poetry meal

Angelicsage, your words always inspire me to write (or at the very least feel) Can't tell you what your support means to me.

Congratulations! Your poetry makes me shake my head in agreement because I can feel the emotions talking. And now, of course, a couple of questions. What usually inspires you to write? What is one of your favorite poems that you have written?

Randee, you are a gifted poet to be sure, congratulations!

Pain and love are the biggest inspirations in my writing. Until I found destee (other good poetry is a huge inspiration, it makes me want to create and share) I could go months without writing before I discovered destee, now its hard to go through the weekend without signing on. Plus, discovering who I am as I make mistakes, learn and grow are opportunities to release pain and triumph in a positive way in my otherwise mainly negative surroundings. The only thing going right now are things I make that way. I have tapped into my own power.

My favorite poem of all times is Anne Sexton's "Cinderella". If you have ever read her poetry you can see the storytelling element I love and crave.

My favorite poem that I ever wrote is actually a tie, but they are both in Haiku format:


I saw him today
My first thoughts . . .a$$hole, lover
was he thinking the same?

Alone again, it's
not so bad on cold winter
nights I watch tv

Sounds as though you have learned a lot from your own poetry--it's great when your talent can have such a positive affect on self.
