Hi,

I want to inform you of the recent release of my first children's, mystery novel entitled, "A CHILD'S INTUITION." The book will soon be coming to bookstores in your neighborhoods; but since it is a new release, for the first couple of weeks, it can only be ordered from the online bookstores such as Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com or directly from the publisher at the following link: http://www.publishamerica.com/shopping/index.htm

However, in just a couple of weeks, it will also be available in your local bookstores. A book that teaches survival skills makes a great Christmas gift! If you can not find "A CHILD'S INTUITION" on the bookstores' shelves, after December 1, 2003, just ask the store clerk to type in the ISBN: 1-4137-0776-9 number and it can be ordered directly from your local bookstore. It normally ships in twenty four to forty eight hours.

Please take a few moments to look over the synopsis which I will post below. If the book piques your interest, or if you think the children in your life will benefit from a book that teaches survival skills, please recommend the book to your family members and friends. Also, if you would like to have an autograph copy or have any questions, please drop me a line at dawes00@juno.com. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Here’s some additional Information regarding my biography and the storyline:

Having once been a police officer and having had the opportunity to work in an urban community where everything was unpredictable inspired me to write children's books with a touch of harsh reality. I honestly believe "A CHILD'S INTUITION" can promote logical thinking in children at a critical period in their lives. The book was written to educate children, and to give them a realistic view of our not so perfect world. It stresses awareness and teaches defense techniques.

"A Child's Intuition" is about a little girl who listens to her intuition and takes immediate action to protect herself when she suspects she's being stalked by a dangerous pedophile. The book is saturated with an abundant of survival techniques. I specifically placed survival techniques throughout the book to give children a renewed sense of awareness so they can make informed decisions if ever they are confronted with a similar crisis situation.

Here’s the synopsis for: “A CHILD’S INTUITION”

In bone chilling temperatures, and on ice slick roads, a nine year old girl is stalked by a derange pedophile as she walks to school. She manages to outwit the child predator when she sees his pickup truck circling the block. She hides behind some snow filled hedges.

After the incident, Jacque vows never to be late for school again. She makes it her mission to always walk to and from school with her friends. Because of Jacque's experience with the child predator, she has nightmares. Her mother takes her to see a child psychologist, but the little girl still believes the pedophile is stalking her.

Jacque tells everyone that she frequently sees her stalker's pickup truck parked on the road near her house, but no one takes her seriously. Since she vows not to be late for school again, she refuses to walk her dog on the days that she is running late for school.

The commitment she makes to herself creates a wedge between her and her thirteen year old brother, Shawn. The children's parents are seldom home; therefore, they are basically latch key children. The children have a lot of responsibility, but caring for their French Poodle is the prime reason for their arguments.

When the little girl refuses to walk the French Poodle in the morning, the dog has accidents in the house. The frequency of this pattern provokes the boy to argue with his sister. The boy knows what to say to hurt his sister's feelings. He teases her about her ability to rationalize what is real and what is not. He tells her that she is too paranoid to go outside, and he accuses her of fabricating tales to receive special treatment.

After the pedophile poisons the children's dog, the dog returns from the spirit world. He returns with the ability to communicate in English. The French Poodle assists Jacque and her brother, Shawn and a diverse group of children in their mission to bring a dangerous pedophile to justice.

Thank you in advance for your purchases and may you and your love ones have a fantastic and safe holiday!

Best Regards,
Dolores Dawes,

Hi! Thank you both for the warm welcome. Destee, I would love to do a reading, but first I must purchase some decent speakers and locate the microphone that came with the computer when I purchased it in 1998. Most of the accessories have been misplaced because I share the computer with my children.

However, I will see if I can round up the proper equipment to do a live reading and I'll be in touch with you. Thanks again for your interest in my children's novel.

Best regards,
Dolores Dawes
