spiritual beauty...I, MYSELF,however am FEELING JILL MORE,though.....both musically & physically....I even have an ex who bears resemblance to Jill.

There both great artist,

I think Jill is more skillful vocally, Erikah's grooves are off the chain...
like "didn't ya know" although her newly released album is
somewhat of a dissapointment

and above all...I know you didn't mention her but "Inda Arie"
I think this sister will stand the test of times because she's
multi-talented...she writes, she plays and she sings......and
that's what I feel helps an artist to truly stand...and who
will ever get over that first album..........
the lyrics were like an atom bomb hitting the soul...

I guess Im alone in this one, But I put Erykah Badu above everyone because she's pretty much the first lady of Neo Soul. No one had that type of style when she first came. She pretty much open the door for people like India Arie, Jill Scott and Angie Stone. The flavor she brought was something new and exciting that many people wanted to be apart of. She introduced us with that whole spiritual Afrocentic jazz vibe that India and Jill appear to have built their foundation on. The way I see it, many women neo soul artists were inspired by Ms Badu. This is why I believe Erykah is the Queen of Neo Soul.

Jill Scott. India Arie. Angie Stone. Erykah Badu? Hasn't she kinda wondered away from THAT flock? I was feeling her vibe you know? how she came out with the incense and candles and the HEADWRAP...then she kind of lost some of us. Erykah today is what would happen if Jill Scott took what she does so well...and started testing the waters of hip-hop. I know most of you probably disagree.

I like all the artists named above, they are all unique in their own way. I really like the fact that India Arie writes & plays her own music. Adding to the list is Alicia Keys and Nora Jones.
