... now it's wifey's turn. I was watching FOX Spews today and they were talking about how her bold comments were premature. They made statements like: "She's already measuring the drapes." Why can't a woman run tings?? She kept it all together even WHEN her hubby went and let homegyrl (Lewinsky) do him in the Oval Office. I think she should run in 2008.

I'm Confused!

I'm trying to get all this political stuff straightened out in my head so
I'll know how to vote come November. Right now, we have one guy saying one
thing. Then the other guy says something else. Who to believe. Lemme see,
have I got this straight?

Clinton awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Yugoslavia - good...
Bush awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Iraq - bad...
Clinton spends 77 billion on war in Serbia - good...
Bush spends 87 billion in Iraq - bad...
Clinton imposes regime change in Serbia - good...
Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad...
Clinton bombs Christian Serbs on behalf of Muslim Albanian terrorists - good...
Bush liberates 25 million from a genocidal dictator - bad...
Clint on bombs Chinese embassy - good...
Bush bombs terrorist camps - bad...

Clinton commits felonies while in office - good...
Bush lands on aircraft carrier in jumpsuit - bad...

Clinton says mass graves in Serbia - good...
Entire world says WMD in Iraq - bad...
No mass graves found in Serbia - good...
No WMD found Iraq - bad...

Stock market crashes in 2000 under Clinton - good...
Economy slows under Bush - bad...
Clinton refuses to take custody of Bin Laden - good...
World Trade Centers fall under Bush - bad...
Clinton says Saddam has nukes - good...
Bush says Saddam has nukes - bad...

Clinton calls for regime cha nge in Iraq - good...
Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad...< BR>Terrorist training in Afghanistan under Clinton - good...
Bush destroys training camps in Afghanistan - bad...
Milosevic not yet convicted - good...
Saddam turned over for trial - bad...

Ah, it's so confusing!
So is this:

Morality doesn't evolve

Well, immorality surely does.

No matter what, given our best intentions, things are bound to occur because of human nature...not to mention those who can not rise above their animalistic and secular instincts.

Clinton, without a shadow of a doubt, was the most beloved president since John F. Kennedy. No one...and I mean NOT A ONE...could move the people of this country like he had. You've got to give it to him. Whatever he had, it worked for him...and it worked well.

Saddam wasn’t doing anything at the time of attack, Slobadon was, Saddam killed Kurdish invaders, not Iraqi citizens (as harsh as it sounds it’s the truth), and Bush clearly lied about the reasons to attack Iraq. Nothing good has come of this war; Saddam wasn't linked to Al Quaeda in the video of osama he called Saddam an infidel, and they clearly aren’t close to finding Osama. He hasn’t done anything to realistically beneficial stop nor curb the war on terror, the economy isn’t doing better, he wasted the surplus left by Clinton, taking out Saddam has not stabilized Iraq at all, lol it **** sure hasn't done anything for gas prices. Nor education the guy is pretty much a worthless president who isn't really benefiting anyone but oil barons.

I couldn't have said that better. The only knock I have on Clinton is he didn't make home-girl wash that nasty dress. :puke2: Other than that he was a good president compared to the rest...especially this idiot we have in office now.

I like Bill Clinton. People bash him but I'd vote for him again in a heartbeat.

And last I checked Bush's 87 billion has to have grown by now considering we are still at war.

However, I would like to see Hilary run. That's my girl. I think she will be the first woman president.

I DONT THINK THERE IS THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLINTON AND BUSH. CLINTON DID SIGN LEGISLATION, PARTICULARLY CRIMINAL LEGISLATION THAT WAS DAMAGING TO BLACK AND ALL PEOPLE OF COLOR.
I WOULD TAKE HIM OVER BUSH , LIKE CHOOSE YOUR POISON...

I was laughing when I typed this...but yeah I was digging Bill Clinton being up in the house. (White House). It's kinda true what people say...shoot! he was the first black president! After seeing how Bush runs thangs...I ran to register to vote and I find myself telling everybody I can to get up and register. Believe it or not...There are some black people who will get up off their *** to go do things like make sure papers so they can continue to get their foodstamps or section-8 are right...but they won't get up to vote to save their own lives! And then have the nerve to sit back and talk about all the things Bush do and don't -But have never voted! Back to the subject, yeah, I wish President Clinton was still in office and all that.

reminds me of when my mom made me drive her to see that freinhite 9/11 (i can't spell freinhite.. lol) and after the movie someone was out there asking people to sign a petition for the govenor of florida or something about they arn't letting him run agian.

and we both refused to sign it... and were waiting for the bus which was right infront of the roxy threater.. so we waitedpretty much next to him..... soon like 4 minutes after my mom noticed everyone was ingoring him. my mom said... "why are you asking people to sign that, in a black neighborhood, as everyone is leaving from seeing 9/11?" (i donno what see was talking about.. cuase i kinda ingored what he was talking about. as a reply he said... "Your crazy lady didn"t you know Clinton was a racist, your crazy!"

i had a luagh about that. and said "Yes, and that is why he moved to Harlam and is friends with Russle Simmons, to get as far away from us as possible"

that made no sence...... i suck at telling storys

Why are Black people so drawn to Clinton and the democratic party? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a republican by any means. I just think both parties are full of Sh*t.

I think that black people were just satisfied with Clinton because things didn't get bad and the economy didn't go sour like it is now. Plus we didn't have a war-happy racist controlling this country. I don't think it is that Clinton is a righteous person or anything, but like Therious said, it's more of "pick your poison". I think....and I think most people would agree, that all presidents have to have bad qualities about them to get to the point of election anyways. The whole political structure as a whole is corrupt...so to say anyone is honest is crazy. I know one thing...I would much rather have Clinton than Bush anyday. Democrates are not that different from Republicans anyways.

My exact sentiments. I believe we should make politicians "work" for our vote rather than just handing it to them every 4 years because of their :puke2: party affiliation. Yes, the economy is booming (the best it's been in over 30 years) but there other things that concern blacks in particular that are still hurting us. For example, we push to get programs that would benefit minorities and what happens...white women run in with greed and claim benefits because they are viewed as a minority, even though there's more of them than anyone else in the country. Tell me what's wrong with this picture and many others???

is signing a three strikes law which puts people in prison for life over petty crime something that helps black?.
many black people voted in the last election and had their votes thrown out(namely florida amongst others) by the bush regime. eventually allowing bush to steal the election. So i dont think your statements are accurate.

I've heard people say that if you don't vote..keep your mouth shut. I don't vote because I think it's pointless to some extent. I might vote this time around..because I am registered and I don't want to see Bush elected again. Even if I don't...I have to live in this country and contribute to it and obey it's "laws" so I do have a say. Plus I have to pay all the many taxes that we are bound by. I think it would be nice if our votes counted, but I won't hold my breathe. They still don't have it together in Florida..so we could see a repeat.

Ain't feeling that. He ain't the first Black anything. I don't like when we say that. I understand that we liked the guy. He's a likeable person who used his likeableness to get what he wanted.

And let's not forget, he's a lawyer. he's knows how to put words together in order to achieve his goal.

Theorious. As, I said. I was diggin' Bill Clinton being in the White House.(vs. Bush) And yes, maybe many black people had their votes thrown out in Florida and these other states?? But MANY, MANY MORE...will break their neck to walk, catch city buses or hitch a ride to these welfare offices and places like that to get assistance from the government but WON'T make and some of them have never made the same efforts to go and vote for the very same persons (Clinton, Sharpton, Kerry Wayne Brady or whoever!) that will atleast try keep the very assistance they seek in place. Some of us want the chicken in the pot but we don't stand up for the very people who are atleast trying to keep these things in place. Also, accurate...if we never see a black president I do think he was as close to it! And I also have to say I think If he was still in office today I would still be enjoying serving my country in the military as I did when he was in office vs being scared of being shot-up in Iraq and coming home in a body bag with my dogtags around my neck and toe. As for that 3 strikes law. I have a brother right now on his third strike broke into a neighborhood store and stole a carton of cigarettes and some beer(Stupid!) sitting in jail about to do some hard time for a pack of cigarettes and what have you. Don't want to work. He is one of these people I'm talking about. Don't want no help. Boo-Coo baby mamas. Remember the character "Otis" on the Andy Griffith show? The drunk who basically had his own cell and could come and go as he please? The 3 strike Law is bad for certain circumstances like perhaps a brotha/sister trying to do something with their lives? If you on your 2nd or 3rd strike anyway and you didn't learn from the first one...and you ain't trying to do nothing with your life...you need to be somewhere!(Prison, nut-house etc) Many times when people disagree with a persons opinion or concept on something...they can't relate. I don't want to vote for Kerry either for many reasons but I'd rather see him in office than Bush. -No Hate, Much Love anyway Ok.

again i will disagree, 1st clinton is not even close to being a blk pres. never forget this an arkansas wht boy. his motives r money, he says all the right stuff, but again the only politician ill ever respect is the one who actually has a plan 2 use OUR tax dollars, in OUR comunities. even if u live in the burbs most of your tax dollars do not benefit you.

My brother is coming home this year off of a ten yr bid, so i feel ur pain. however he is a different kinda kat, he got 2 degrees in jail and is planning to take this business world by storm. even if your brother did something stupid, i dont believe he should be in jail. just cause he has multiple babies mamas and a not givin a f*** attitude. maby house arrest,or teather but prison for petty b&e? thats rediculous, and cruel and unusual punishment. there is always room to learn.....prison in my humble opinion should b 4 violent offenders, and sexual predators, not drug dealers, drugies, alchoholics, and petty thieves.

sweet im sure i dnt got 2 tell u that there r many whts on welfare. not to mention corporations using OUR tax $$. If u were in the military instead of iraq u'd be getting shot full of holes in somolia, or what ever poor country the wht r trying to take next. the president is just that the president not the CEO the CEO"S of this u.s. r never seen, nd they call the shots not some elected" puppet.

Just 2 b real, hey if the decendents of enslaved humans , r now pimping the system 4 free money...more power 2 them. they dnt vote 4 the reasons i dnt vote , cuz its a scam, the electoral college is sum bull s**t, and well u know the outcome....but to each his/her own much love

Therious...I was at a loss for words on that one (out of respecting your point of view). Some one somewhere in one of these forums said something that's true.... concerning voting republican or democrat about how both sides of the coin is the same or something like that...This we know. I once was one of those people who sat back and felt the same way you feel about the issue...I think this time( I don't want to see Kerry in place either) a sista just got a bit fed up and this year I'm gonna express that by voting. Two of many things I'd like to accomplish before I leave this earth Vote and get a college education. We can't sit and let these white folks intimidate us in those two areas....Slavery was yesterday...A lot hasn't really change if you asked me, so I refuse to be naive in thinking that times have changed as they would like for us to believe...But it is still a new day. I can vote. I can get an education and continue getting an education. Certain people can count on the fact that many of us(black or white) won't get up and vote. I think there are more poor people in this country than rich...if we got up, we could keep a democrat in the house. They already know we ain't gon' do nothin like that, but run to the stores to get the latest pair of Air Force one's putting money in Mr. Nike's pocket who is rich and probably republican. So when you buy things like that and are thinking that you are not voting one way or the other? Oh, you are voting in a sense...you keeping Money in one republican's pocket probably his whole family and they are voting Republican probably most of them to make sure people like Bush stay in office....So he can give out these little tax breaks...which keep a poor man running to the nearest FootLocker store or to buy the next gold chain. See, that's what the white man can definitely count on. We're not voting but we are still funding republicans...and democrats so you might as well vote my brotha. Voting is Free. All I'm sayin' is if we(white and black) can stand in line for government cheese...We ought to be able to stand in line at the DMV. (to register and vote). Clinton may have signed the whatever for the 3 strike law(prison time for petty crimes)...But in BUSH COUNTRY brothas ain't makin' it to one strike...they getting drug behind pick-up trucks and stuff. No Hate, Much love.

Clinton gets a pass because of the assumed theory that he is/was the lesser of two evils. Granted, he is a serious upgrade on any so-called leader named Bush. However, he really didn't help Black people.

Clintion Lied about geting head from a intern
Bush hit his head on a pretzel....LOL He has to be the short bus president!
Bottom line we did better under clinton....
