“A lesson learned
Is a lesson earned”

A lesson

It seems most people only think
About the things we talk about.
Your mind is your only secret place.
But you allowed me to enter
And you shared your private space.

Most of the men only wanted to crawl upon you
And do their thing.
Never really caring if your bell would ring.
They only wanted to satisfy their bodies.
But never ever wanting to satisfy your mind.

You have so much creativity running round in your mind.
They could never relate to you being the loving kind.
If you make me aware of, the pain’s you've been in.
I will never drive, you down that road again.

Were you told men feel less obligated to the ones they can buy.
This line may make, you cry.
To know she may have had sex with a hundred men.
Of that hundred, did she ever make love to any of them?

To them it was another thrill.
They never ever wanted to make it real.
It was just another session.
Don't take it to heart; just let it be a lesson.
Because it don't matter why you do it.
It's when you graduate from it; you don't step back into the ****.

When they said they loved you, was it really true?
Or is it because they just wanted to have sex with you?
Now there's fussin' and fightin', no more delightin'.
They start not to trust you.
Then they start to abuse you.

Now you lay there a pondering and a wondering. What went wrong?
It could have been. Your love was too strong!
Just remember it the next time they come. . . .
That's the end of this poem.
