Misty night

While sitting here on this misty night.
My heart grew wings, and took a flight.
It found a queen’s crown without a gem.
It stopped to kiss a rose and when it did, it found no stem.
It also found a boat without a captain.
And a baby without a mother.
It flew into your heart where it found you with no significant other.
Then it flew into your love nest
Where it found you with a heaviness in your chest.
My heart flew all through your everyness.
And found love that could be made to manifest.
This love can be brought to life with ease.
By truth, understanding and a wiliness to please.
A rose without a stem cannot survive.
Nor a queen without a king can thrive.
Nor a heart without love.
Nor a catcher without a glove.
Most of these things are unheard of.
Like you don’t know it, til push comes to shove.
When it grew wings and took a flight.
My heart found these things about you . . . On a misty night.

So true. sometimes you can't see the beauty standing before thee. Until it's gone do you take inventory.
