Yesterday's moments
leaves tears weeping
at the missed possibilities
of experiencing your touch
holding tenderness in hand
like the prettiness of ancient pink sands
once again

Yesterday's potential
of basking in the profoundness of we
unmasked our shared temptations
of lust and forbidden sins
placating years of unsoundproofed love

there stood guilt quiet and ashamed

if eyes ever rained as thine did
sunshine would have a reason to fear
no longer would there be need for her golden rays

Yesterday's future
crumbled in an avalanche of pain
scarring beauty and wounding hope
mercilessly sweeping up souls
and into that fire we bled
fading our breaths into the death of us no more

Today, I lay in an ocean of mental cries
swimming miles within a catastrophic hurt
wearing your face in my heart
wishing I could rewind time
wishing I could rewind time
wishing you could love me
like I loved you

...Yesterday

Anyone who could think this up is a divine poet indeed.
