Knowing what I was getting into
Can I ask to change the rules I put through.
Knowing you have this other life
Knowing that you have a "wife"
Knowing I may not be ready
Knowing I just left my steady
Not knowing what your answer will be
All I am thinking about is me.
Can I risk if the answer is no.
What if all I am is your current ho.
What do I expect you to say?
That you'd love to come and stay.
Knowing all I know
and still I want a go . . .
So when you ask me what I am thinking
Shut up, think about what you asked and just keep drinking.

this is a tight flow
your thoughts
are coming through clear
you do know
very clearly
nice flow

Girl you definitely know as I think many people know what they are getting into, but just don't care.

Things we know....and then there are things we'd rather not know. Deep drop.

thanks for bring this one back . . . appreciated the words then and added some below to show how much i've grown . . .

Shoud've known
i was grown
saw all the signs
recited them in rhymes
practiced speeches in my mirror
looking for that mighty healer
wanted someone to show me the way
afraid alone i would fall astray
lose my focus and my drive
but, it was alone i gained the greatest stride
found confidence in my voice
no longer let other make my choice
say what i need to and learning more
i know who i am down to my core
and right in time since i will become
the mother to my best friends son
the man who has always been by my side
though he didn't have to remind
that i am a strong woman with a ton of pride.
