ima tell you the same thing i told foxy
do your poetry for you
don't do it to get reactions from everyone else
my goodness...
do you go to school for someone else?
do you learn how to get around on da comuter
for someone else?
poetry is an expression of you
you should do it to see how you
can betta express yourself
the more and more you write...
i know i write some ish that's off the wall
that's for me more than anyone else...
have faith in yourself gurl...
and believe me
nothing else will matta...

indeed let us embrace poetically but flow for self own reasons
not for the eyez of lookers or shakers but for ya self

means and what it is saying.......i love ya work as i watch from
above

Thanks rich. What's misunderstood about my work is. I do flow for me. I write for me. not for onlookers but at the same time....
It's like going to a spoken word performance, you get on stage and spit your stuff and then everyone just look at you. NO applause no smiles no nothing they just look at you and wait for you to either do another one or get off stage. How would you feel? That's how it is on destee, for some. You post your work and you wait for a response(any kind of response- good or bad) and you get nothing. The little response you get is like a comedian in a room getting like two people clapping and laughing at their jokes. The only reason why I share my work is to get feed back. If I didn't want feed back I might as well keep it to my self. What's the use of sharin if no one is payin attention and no one is giving you feed back, rather it's good or bad. It's not about flowin for ur self or not flowin for ur self. I have a poetry CD of all my work I made for my self and I love it. If I gave it to someone else to hear I would want to know what they thought. When posting my work I do it with the future response in mind. Not just so I can say I have poetry on the net. It's not everyday ur gonna come across a person... well I should say talented people who are as talented if not more talented as you that can critique ur work from a poets point of view. As of yesterday I took all of my work down and I guess ur right in a sense if I'm not doing it for me I shouldn't be doing it. Peace and blessing to all.
