I love tennis. I've been a fan for many years and love it more since there are more African Americans in the tournaments. Like golf, tennis was always a sport for the white elite. Now we're seeing more athletes of other races, particularly African Americans enter these sports and begin to dominate them.

I have to admit that I was disappointed when the Williams sisters changed from braids to perms. Even more, I didn't like the blonde coloring that Serena changed to. But, they're sisters, they're phenomenal athletes and I enjoy watching them play.

I wonder if the divorce of their parents will impact their game this season. Go Venus! Go Serena! :)

yes NNQ these two are the 1, 2 of da game today
it may have some affect on their game for sure if they don't
accept it well but if they do these two might meet in the finals
Dad plays a major role in their careers we'll see how it go
but rest for sure one will be the champ ....

this one has beaten her 4 times in serena 's career.

the last time this happen was in 1997 when both sisters pulled out so we only can look to next year this one up for grabs .....

surely they both will come back stronger then ever .

BAD NEWS sunday venus & serena oldest sister Yetunde was
shot and killed in the suburb of Los Angeles COMPTON area
she was 31 yrs old Nurse and owned her own beauty salon
she was the oldest of five sisters ....

may prayers be sent to the williams family

another sad day in our struggle .
