Now that the LAKERS has been de-throned as champs
can this team come back strong (or) is it time to dismantal
for a new start ........

Phil Jackson.........as he was talking is he bout to retire?

I think that the Lakers waned the championship but I knew that from the way that they played te Timberwolves (4-2) that they weren't going to win!!! I mean c'mon. the Lakers are good and all but they're too ****y and I think it was about time that a team put them in their place.

The Lakers might need a new make ova

As long as Shaq & Kobe are with them.....the Lakers are not done winning. Since 1989 (the Pistons) pretty much every NBA champion has won at least back to back titles. This has occurred with such frequency that people forget that a dominant team in the 70s & 80s wouldn't win a title every year, but maybe every other year. The Lakers for example won 5 titles in the 80s, but only had back to back titles in 87-88. The current lakers need to just get a power forward, and improve their bench.

The Lakers has a good team but the rise of new blood
in the game today i don't see the Spurs coming back
this far next year nor the Lakers the rise of the KINGS
if they add a few more fire power to the mix this team
will be unstopable as the DALLAS mavs

yes the Lakers need to re vamp or shaq & kobe will be
like the JAZZ stockton & Malone out of it .......................
but the Lakers did rule the 80's as the BULLS did in the 90's
Boston also was hot with Bird in the yesteryears

LAKERS need to Rebuild now somewhat to capture a nother
crown ...........

now with new addition to this team
like G.payton and K. Malone how well can they fit in
with already two prime stars who want to be the superstar
of this team now comes two more top players to add in this fold
the Lakers might crumble with all the talent here and if the
mix is right they can reclaim the crown but the Spurs made some nice addition to it's mix as well can they return back to the finals
with a strong Dallas Mavs on there tail......team to watch !

TOO MUCH talent can lead a team to doom. If everyone knows their role...Everything SHOULD be ok. Last year Lakers lost site of individual team roles and got beat.

i agree very much too much will doom a team
they did loose the main desire too stay above
as everyplayer was in their own style of funk
and didn't jell together in the playoffs
we shall see how it go but the attention is focus now on Kobe
and his up coming trail
