This Is Not A Request Line

Don’t call me askin’ me to write some of that love ****!
Don’t interrupt my poetic flow askin’
for some shallow roses are red, violet’s are blue
you love and I love you ****!
Cause this is not a request line!

Don’t tell me you want to hear some silly birds and bees ****
while little girls are being abducted daily
and little boys molested sadly
by sick predators
scavenging our neighborhoods
and your *** want’s to be entertained.
Cause this in not a request line!

Don’t bother me with dumb *** cries for
humorous, shuckin’ & jivin’, slap-stick, stand-up comedy,
when every continent is at war
and nations are killing their own
for religious differences
and invisible no-fly zones
and borders on lands stained with
blood from trespassers, in there own minds.
Cause this is not a request line!

Don’t send me a request for
frivolous vanities and dreams of a perfect world
when the Ku Klux Klan and the New Black Panther Party
can march on our capital
with messages of hate and separatism
and American democracy says
“it’s their rights under the law!”
This is not a **** request line!

I am taking no request
be cause my poetic soul
compels me to flip the this beast of society
and expose the underbelly we’d all like to ignore.
I have to show you depravity in the black community
precipitated by Democrats and Republicans.

I have to show you the racism that still exist in our churches as we all go our separate ways on Sunday morning’s at eleven.
I cannot ignore the under-handed dealings of government
officials would dare not stop the illegal drug trade because
it would mean no more 6 bedroom mansions, yachts, and
Ferrari’s so the ghetto keeps suffering with crack cocaine
in its veins.
I refuse to be silent about the institutionalized racism
in the day to day operations of major corporations
where Negro’s still ain’t welcome in the board rooms and
the secret meeting where “keep the *****’s in their place
is the modus operandi.
Corporate pimps, and government simps
racist minds and unchanging times.
Hated, racism, scisms, isms.
Africans killing.
Coation and Surbian genocide.
Christian Holy Wars and Islamic Jhiad.
The IRA and PLO.
The Taliban, Al Queda
and bloody revolutionists causing peoples the cry .
Do you hear the cries? Do you hear the cries?
The cries of billions of aborted babies. The cries of billions
of euthanasized seniors?
And you want to be entertained??
**** that! This not a **** request line!
Open your **** ears to poetic truth!

Very tight flow...struck a bad chord and yet I don't know why because you were tellin the truth. I think it's because I don't wanna get wrapped up in the bad of the world , I'm just enjoying my time as a teenager. But still, I'm thanking you for writing this piece because it's so REAL and though my eyes are definitely stillclosed to the drama of this world and how Black poeple are still being treated like they're still in a 1965 grade school only in private with glares and stares. This disturbed me in a good way...b/c yet again, pieces like this are telling me to look at what I don't wanna look at, what I wanna ignore yet I can't b/c who know what will be in store for me?....Sorry I couldn't flow the feelings that you put into me. Once again....Tight piece and keep telling the truth

Sir Rich - thanks for the poetic knod!!! peace unto you.

Royal_T, 1poet, Lovely - thanks for the read. look forward to checkin ya'll. been off the site with some other venues - thanks again.

Oh LovelyGoldenOne - I'm in Montgomery Alabama - Hollar!!!

SwtT - my Sista. I feel you. A poet should only write from the wellspring of their own soul. experieces will guide your pen. and pen to pad you will speak of your own realities. that's true poetry. so i applaude you for just...... being you - a poet, living in her own existence, speaking to her times. your voice will change with your experiences - as has mine. but only in God's time! so just flow - and watch - but nerve deny the world .... YOU!!!

First I want to say, SwtT you flowed well with what you said. You understand, and many see, but would rather close their eyes to the truth. It's scary as. True. But never be afraid to look, and you will never be fooled by a lie.

Kla.. this is why you blew us away in the first round. Brother you bring perpective to the I don't want to know or believe its true problems in America. Only in America do we have disney land flag waving, attempts to anesthetize us. What you see is what you get, comes to mind. HBO1, HBO2, HBO3 and HBO4 how much nonsense do we need to become vegetables. Marching our feet to anothers beat.

Pumping chickens and animals with hormones, growing that chicken beyond full growth in three weeks. Killing us and controlling wall street. Oh how they humble us to believe that the market crash wasn't because they needed to rob the cofers.

Conservatives, aren't conservative when it comes to getting the cash. Liberals aren't liberal when they haven't set you free. Needing a score card to keep up with the two.

" What will happen in the future with United States? Who really knows, but a few things are fairly obvious. United States golden years are over and are not coming back, no matter what everyone may say. The United States ruled the world from the end of WWII to the early 1970s. Now their manufacturing base is gone thanks to NAFTA, being driven to the "3rd world countries" such as Mexico and China, where the workers can be paid very cheaply and there aren't any of those pesky enviromental regulations to worry 'bout. Clever, eh? The only jobs left are either in managment, retail or "law enforcement"(cops and the like). Let's be honest here for a moment.

The boom 1990s were largely a fluke, falsely fueled by the hopes the Internet was gonna be the next place to sell more junk to the willing "consumers". (The second law of capitalism states that capitalism has to expand into new markets and new teritories.) When that turned out to be largely a dream carefully orcherstrated for a few million gullible people the stock market crashed. Badly. Some of the Nasdaq stocks from the so called new economy lost up to 60 and even sometimes 90% of their value in 6 months. Lucent, AOL, Yahoo come to mind as ready examples. Amazon-dot- com has yet to turn profit and they are running out of capital. Face it, capitalism needs its so called middle class, those are the people who largely become its consumer base. Without its middle class United States is in deep, deep trouble. Then who's gonna buy all that junk being created, eh? The Americans need to immediatly stop all of their bull and seriously start thinking about their country and where its heading.

They need to realize how big business and big governemt is controlling all of their lives, forcing them to pay ridicilous prices for energy, food and land, while filling their minds with cheap "entertainment" in the form of computer games, movies and other such crap. Indeed, the over 2 thousand years old Roman saying "Give them bread and circuses." has been elegantly executed in the United States. "

Along the way we become accustomed to what we think a poet is going to say, and if we don't want to read what is probably on the menu, then there are other venues to frequent. You do love poems occasionally, but you like to speak to a worldly purpose, and you do it with flair. Frankly it's a pleasure to read whatever you post, because you're just talented like that. Word up.
