ARIES THE RAM...

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, which the Sun transits during the first month of spring, from about March 21st to about April 20th. The symbol for this sign is The Ram; its polarity is positive; its element is fire; its quality is cardinal; its ruling planet is Mars; and on the physical anatomy Aries rules the head and face...

The Sun’s entrance into Aries marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the astrological year. Aries is essentially a sign of beginnings – of boundless creativity and pure energy. Aries people - who include not only those whose Sun-sign is Aries, but all in whose horoscopes the sign is emphasized – must be up and doing for the sheer joy of it, especially if the activity involves adventure, the exploration of unknown territory, or even danger.

Mars, the planetary ruler of Aries, bestows strength, courage, and a strong desire nature, which means both physical desire and the drive to conquer and possess material things. Mars also bestows a strong desire for power and fame. The incredible Aries energy in initiating new projects is a blend of the enthusiasm and self-confidence of fire and the outgoing activity of cardinality. The polar opposite of indecisive Libra, Aries people seldom have to look before they leap; they simply rush forward headlong - for it is their business to lead and inspire...

Aries babies are in such a hurry to advance that they begin walking at nine months! But walking won't suffice for long; almost all Aries children prefer running. In school they are sometimes labeled “hyperactive” by their teachers, but their parents become accustomed to their fights with friends, their frequent accidents from which they quickly rebound, and their noisy resistance to bedtime. The overflowing energy of a growing Aries child finds a healthy outlet in competitive sports.

The Aries personality possesses the virtues of its defect: An unconscious ego – which may express itself as arrogance, aggression, and even violence – can co-exist with a childlike innocence, a total absence of guile, and a devout love of freedom. The essence of the sign Aries is the life force itself, the desire to be born and the will to survive, and the intensity of the Aries energy makes both the primitive and the evolved types virtually unstoppable. In contrast to legalistic, diplomatic Libra, Aries is a law unto itself – responsible only to its own unpredictable impulses...

The strong libidinal nature of Aries people makes them passionate lovers, but their desire for conquest and love of novelty can lead to a “Don Juan” or “femme fatale” syndrome that is ultimately unsatisfying. As the sign of individualism, Aries does not have a natural instinct for partnership. However, Aries people have a great love of children, and they are capable of forming stable relationships with those who respect their need for independence.

Their most compatible signs are: Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini and Aquarius; Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio and Pisces are neutral, while Cancer and Capricorn are likely to be difficult. With another Arian there would probably be competition for dominance; with Libra – Aries’ polar opposite and complementary sign – there is both attraction and tension, the outcome depending, as with all combinations, on other factors in the two horoscopes.

People born under the indomitable spirit of this cardinal fire sign are drawn to such diverse occupations as explorer, adventurer, military leader, athlete, actor, musician and artist. The influence of Mars, which rules metals and firearms, gives them a natural affinity for metallurgy, mechanics, law enforcement, and also surgery.

The color of Aries is red; its birthstone is the diamond; and its day of the week is Tuesday, which is ruled by Mars.

The following are some prominent African-Americans born under the sign Aries:

Maya Angelou, Kofi Annan, Evelyn Ashford, Pearl Bailey, George Benson, Tony Brown, Peabo Bryson, Don Chaney, Tracy Chatman, Tony Dorsett, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Herbie Hancock, Gil Scott-Heron, Billie Holiday, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Chaka Khan, Carmen McCrae, Moses Malone, Stephanie Mills, Eddie Murphy, Teddy Pendergrass, Colin Powell, Diana Ross, Sarah Vaughan, Roger Wilkins and Billy Dee Williams...

The cardinal fire sign Aries is prominent in the horoscopes of many African-American leaders in various fields. For example, Aries is Dr. Martin Luther King's rising sign; Malcolm X, Stevie Wonder, John Coltrane and Whitney Houston all have the Moon in Aries; Jesse Jackson has Mars in Aries; Diana Ross and Colin Powell have the Sun in Aries; the powerful planet Uranus, Louis Farrakhan's life ruler, was in Aries when he was born; D. Gregory has the Moon in Aries and Aries rising; and Gil Scott-Heron is a double Aries...

Your immediate response is most appreciated! I am going over this information with a fine-toothed comb! Not certain if I'm a 'typical' Aries. I had my chart done years ago, and found Taurus in many of my 'houses' (I think that's what it was called). Do you do charts? My e-mail is afreekan@hotmail.com.

Thank you so much!

Aries rises in the horoscope of the United Nations, and with Aries on the Ascendant of this World Court, the pioneering quality of this sign is obvious. Issues that are brought to the attention of this august body are certainly ones that could lead to conflict if unresolved. But with calm deliberation, diplomacy and tact (while never losing sight of the fight involved), issues can be resolved peacefully...

With a rational approach and examining all sides of the issue, reason solves potentially explosive situations. Aries people can learn much from the way the United Nations operates. Since Aries is the romantic of the zodiac, if they learn to make love (not war), they become winners beyond compare...

[Kofi Annan, whom many consider the best secretary-general the United Nations ever had, is an Aries (4/8/'38).]

The symbol for Aries also represents the horns of a ram. This can be a battering ram thrusting rambunctiously - or even rampageously forward. Anatomically, Aries rules the head, and its headstrong impulsiveness often impels the Arian to plunge headfirst into situations without taking account of the consequences of his/her behavior...

The innate self-assertiveness of those born under this fire sign can prevent them from judging the reactions of other people. If, however, the ram constantly butts up against opposition, his spirit may be broken. Then the sign denotes not the dashing ram, but the driven sheep rambling from place to place - without purpose or destination...

In an extensive study of 4,651 community leaders, sociologist Edmund Van Deusen found those born under the sign Aries "at the head of the class, with a total 20% greater than average. No other sign came close..." ("Astro-Genetics," Doubleday, p.93)

This seems to confirm – at least partially – the traditional observation that Aries people tend to be leaders, pioneers, and individualists of the highest order...

Arians on the Internet...

Aries virtually surges forth to explore the Internet, fearless, with not a thought about risks. The Aries native is a natural pioneer, needing conquest and a challenge, so entering cyberspace feels natural and exciting...

Aries likes progress and forward motion, and it can be argued that the Internet is progressive in the freedom (another Aries love) of information offered. Restlessness will keep the Arian popping from one side to another, using hyperlinks that can take the Aries native quickly to another site of interest...

The problem the Internet presents to the Aries native is that Aries cannot show his/her infectious excitement and enthusiasm with body language. The thrill shining from Aries' eyes as a beacon to the rest of the world to jump into the fun cannot be seen by others, and Aries finds this frustrating and lonely...

But there is great courage in this sign, and the need to be doing something every minute. If only there were enough time to explore even more of the Internet!

Aries will probably start using the Internet to chat with all of the friends and acquaintances out there via any Internet portal that has a buddy system notifying everyone to jump on for a chat. Aries loves a party, so chatting with lots of different people at the same time is enjoyable.

Booking vacation trips through the Internet and checking out sites that have a sense of adventure - such as space exploration and science - will keep the Arian mind intrigued and eager to continue exploring the wonderful world of cyberspace. Here are a few websites that the Arian will find interesting:

www.pseudo.com
www.travelcity.com
www.space.com

I have a question about my chart..my sun is in aries and my moon in libra....my pluto (libra) conjuncts my moon and opposes my sun..my moon and pluto are in the 4th house and sun in the 10th..how do you think those energies work as far as balancing the feminine and masculine energy of my soul...and what do you think about its internal/external expression in familial and career relationships

I'll start with the significance of the opposition between Aries and Libra from the Esoteric Brotherhood:

Basic Meaning

Aries represents personal liberty; Libra represents the impersonal operation of the law. Laws should protect individual freedom. Nevertheless, few people are as emancipated as they fancy themselves to be, since all are controlled by collective forces that determine the use of whatever measure of liberty has been granted. The message of this pair of opposites is that man is free only insofar as he works within the law.

The law of the Universe (Libra) impels an individual to express his basic sense of self (Aries). A seed obeys the dictates of nature by remaining true to its unique potential and flowering in its own image. The first law is to know the law – and this means to know and be oneself.

Despite the apparent conflict between free will and fatalism, the truth lies on neither side, but in a synthesis of the two concepts. The law, although unvarying in its goal of universal justice, continually requires temporary adjustments. Aries stirs the diverse elements of a system into constant motion as they endeavor to establish equitable relationships among themselves and restore the balance of Libra. Hence, law is by nature dynamic and can never be absolutely fixed without becoming either dead or death dealing. It ordains that all entities must progress into new states of consciousness in order to realize their own unchanging identity.

Absolute liberty (Aries) implies an absolute absence of relationships (Libra). This would mean total solitude, isolation, chaos or hell. The perpetual interplay between Aries and Libra obviates the possibility of complete freedom or complete determination. It is futile to emphasize one side or the other exclusively, for opposites exist not to be pitted against each other, but to be reconciled.

The study of zodiacal symbolism should soon allay the anxieties of those who deem astrology fatalistic. The more an individual learns about the operations of the law, the more he can predict, and the greater freedom this entails. People who fear the increased knowledge that comes through the application of astrological principles should consider that it is not the things they understand that hurt them as much as the things they misunderstand...or fail to anticipate. Ignorance, not knowledge, lies at the root of man’s “original sin,” and is the cause of his fall from grace.

Real freedom can be attained only by those who realize that all laws exist – first and foremost – within themselves. Heaven governs man through his deeper nature. It does not issue orders from above; it is the omnipresent principle of Order. Certainly God does not impose an alien ethic and then punish man when he proves incapable of obeying its arbitrary decrees.

Even the old adage, “The stars impel; they do not compel,” does not fully explain the situation. If a person is going to try to change his chart, or even make the best use of his allotment of free will, then the chart itself should show the compulsion to make this effort. Man cannot “rule his stars” any more than they can rule him, for all are attuned to the same Universal harmony. A note does not rule a symphony, nor does a symphony rule its notes.

It is useless to try to become disengaged from one’s horoscope like the Greek Archimedes, who claimed that he could move the world with his levers if only he had a place to stand. A person’s will is, or should be, identical with the larger Will, which brought him to birth in the time and place his natal chart depicts. Astrology, in general, and the relationship between Aries and Libra, in particular, shows that no natural law can contravene the freedom of man, for essentially every human soul is one with the Creator, who originally determined the rules of the game called life...

Excessive Action

If the fiery force of Aries is improperly controlled, its headstrong impulsiveness unbalances the scales of airy Libra. Boisterous activity upsets delicately wrought arrangements, provoking a slap back at the offender. Aries is the individual fighting man while Libra is the sign of collective fighting or war. The Libran readily takes up arms, but invariably insists, “He hit me first.”

Similarly, nations seldom admit starting wars but feel constrained to prove that the conflict was thrust upon them, justifying a counterattack. The incipient egotism of Aries can also rebound as the Libran desire for admiration. Martian militarism and Venusian artistry blend in uniforms that represent the height of sartorial splendor, and are displayed in characteristically Libran parades and pageants. Since the Arian is seldom as assured as he seems, uniforms and rigidly enforced rituals of military discipline bolster his confidence. In the army, the individual and his wishes count for very little. Many of the same observations can be made about “society,” with its insistence on proper dress, protocol, and deference to the arbitrary dictates of fashion.

The Arian who demands absolute liberty for himself while disregarding the wishes of others, soon finds that he has rejected all meaningful relationships, and has nothing worth being free for. His self-seeking attitude results in social maladjustments. On the other hand, the Libran compulsion to be conventionally correct can amount to a betrayal of the self and a denial of spontaneity. For instance, formal attire often restricts the wearer’s movements.

The Venusian craving for approval can instigate a great deal of sporadic Martian activity, as exemplified in the peregrinations of the social butterfly that aspires to be one of “the beautiful people.” Despite its Libran grace, this fluttering creature (often a woman) frequently turns out to be a butterfly made of iron who marshals her forces and directs the activities of her subordinates in a manner that would do credit to an army drillmaster.

War is a collective madness. Yet it often impels individuals to take the law into their own hands, as when soldiers loot, rape and shoot their prisoners. The subjective influence of Mars in Libra also takes the form of martial law, and accounts for the predilection of military men and groups to formulate systems of legislation. From the days of the ancient lawgiver Hammurabi, through the "Pax Romana" and the "Napoleonic Code," law and militarism have joined hands.

Libran laws demand Arian means of enforcement. Retribution often involves the shedding of blood or some form of physical violence. Then the resentment stirred up by authoritarian policies leads to new outbreaks of disorder and more repressive rules, bringing not peace but conflict, even to those who strive most assiduously to ensure correct behavior...

Deficient Action

A deficiency of Arian incentive or of Libran social consciousness again unbalances the scales. If Martian self-assertiveness is lacking, Venusian creativity is stultified by convention. Conversely, indifference to the feelings and needs of others leads to lethargy and non-accomplishment. Then the upright symbol for Aries collapses into the horizontal line of the scales.

The Libran can be abnormally sensitive to slights. If his feelings are ruffled, he may refuse to bestir himself on anybody’s behalf. This fear of disapproval accounts for his propensity to sit on the fence when the Arian would kick it down and walk right through. Many Librans appear lazy, not through any innate disinclination to exert themselves, but because they dislike provoking adverse reactions. Their diffidence often stems from a basic lack of self- confidence. In actuality, natives of both signs can swing erratically back and forth between extremes of vivacity and lethargy.

Those who cannot get out of themselves (Aries) fail to find love (Libra). Conversely, the person who has never experienced the love and security of living in a harmoniously ordered society is stunted in his ego development. He lacks a sense of identity and, in consequence, can neither relate to others nor work effectively. Sigmund Freud said that the criterion of mental health is the ability to work and to love. Aries and Libra, the first pair of opposites, concern these two basic modes of expression.

The individual who has lost touch with his driving instincts, and who no longer knows his own desires (Aries), cannot exhibit balanced judgment and poise (Libra). This incapacity to weigh alternatives and to achieve psychological equilibrium leads, in turn, to rash and reckless behavior. The paradox of the primitive Aries-Libra types is that for all their insistence on having their own way, they are not the masters of their impulses, but react blindly to external influences.

In any close relationship, it is lack of love (Libra) that causes one partner to interfere with the freedom (Aries) of the other. Husbands and wives resent each other's independence and then justify their restrictiveness in the name of convention. This results in the war between the sexes, which is the basic conflict behind all other wars. An individual who suppresses the freedom of his mate is moving along the circumference of the wheel toward the possessiveness of Taurus and the jealousy of Scorpio, rather than through the center toward a true understanding of the meaning of the marriage relationship...

Resolution

When Aries and Libra are joined in creative synthesis, a person realizes that it is necessary to achieve self-knowledge in order to relate meaningfully to others. Conversely, it is only through entering into relationships that he becomes truly aware of himself. People can function in harmony only because they are separate individuals with unique destinies to fulfill. It is their differences that compel them to supplement each other's efforts, and to realize that unity is not uniformity but rather a blending of specialized abilities and points of view.

The Aries/Libra polarity demonstrates that love does not clutch and bind, but is a freely expressed relationship between independent entities. Ultimately, a person can love and be loved only by right of what he inherently is, and not by possessing or being a kind of possession. Thus, love is less a static condition than a rhythmic progression in which each participant defers to the other. The basic conflict of the marriage relationship stems from the Libran.

The urge to give permanency to an interchange whose very meaning derives from the fact that it is an ongoing process of self-realization through union with the beloved. Libra manifests the effects of causes that Aries sets in motion. Man is forever meeting himself in the people and circumstances he encounters. This cyclic interplay of cause-and-effect is called "karma," the power of destiny. The two most impelling karmic forces in the world are love and war, both of which come under the aegis of Libra. The basic instability of the scales shows how easily love turns to hate, and marriage degenerates into a battleground for contentious personalities.

According to the law of karma, everything a person does (Aries) leads to a judgment upon himself (Libra), while every judgment initiates new causes. This interplay of action and reaction keeps the zodiacal wheel of fortune spinning merrily or woefully, as the case may be. The first law of nature is balance. It decrees that nothing can ever be lost and that every effort must bring its due apportionment of pain or pleasure, punishment or reward. Even in the moral and spiritual realm, however, all laws are natural laws. That is why Venus, the planet of love and nature, rules Libra, in which Saturn, planet of the law, is exalted.

Aries releases energies that Libra molds into harmoniously proportioned forms. Yet it is the Libran insistence upon maintaining a set standard that necessitates ever-renewed creative endeavors. The static perfection toward which the Libran aspires must be upset by an influx of Arian forces if the guarded conservatism of this sign of equilibrium is not to freeze into immobility. Thus, Libra-born people may be aggravatingly defensive and thereby gain a reputation for being warlike, when actually they think they are trying to be peacemakers. Even Hitler, who had Libra rising, plunged the nations into chaos with the intention of achieving an ideal world order that was to be an absolute and unchanging “thousand-year Reich.”

The subjective influence of Aries makes the Libran ready to fight, even though overtly he longs for harmony and cooperation. He senses that people never work together so unanimously as when intent on wiping out a common enemy. Aries says, “Follow me men.” Libra chants, “We shall overcome.” Eventually, however, the militancy of both signs gives way to the realization that while the enforcement of laws and regulations may ensure a measure of cooperation, true peace can only be won through a deepened awareness of the essential unity of mankind, and that this victory is the final triumph of love in action...

The opposition (180° aspect) between the Sun and the Moon in your horoscope shows that there are difficulties between you and the people you deal with. There is a natural conflict between your ego and your emotions, and you unconsciously communicate this psychological hang-up to your family, friends, and even your romantic interests...

You often act in a hesitant spurt of enthusiasm, which is followed by the anguish that your actions may have been ill advised. When you try to assert your own individuality, you are often torn by your loyalty to those closest to you. You would prefer to have their full support so you could avoid the painful explanations and guilt that seems to accompany anything you want to do...

Relationships mean a great deal to you, and you long for someone whom you can totally identify with. Although you enjoy casual contacts, they never sufficiently satisfy your need to belong. You desire a mate who will fulfill your every need - love, friendship, sustaining you in your goals, sharing in your setbacks, strengthening you in your moments of weakness, inspiring you to exploit your creative talents, and, at the same time, sharing the full benefits of your combined efforts. A tall order, to be sure, and you will have to make concessions in order to attract that kind of mate. You will have to be more giving than receiving, more compromising than obstinate, and more humble than arrogant. This too may be a tall order, but you can do it...or at least give it a good try. Any progress will prove beneficial.

Your greatest handicap is your unwillingness to let go of the past. Don't worry that people will consider you indifferent and unfeeling - you could never be unemotional. Make a realistic appraisal of what you want from your life and file a plan with yourself to achieve it. Don't wait for people to open doors for you. Some things you must do for yourself, even if it means having to indulge in yourself.

You will experience some problems with partnerships until you know where you stand and can state your position honestly. You might feel sorry for yourself or become bitter when matters do not progress exactly the way you want them to, but that's life. The hard knocks are what make the success that follows so precious. Try to maintain a moderate physical pace; you cannot burn the candle at both ends without endangering your health.

The opposition (180° aspect) between the Sun and Pluto in your horoscope shows that you are defensive when challenged by others. In competition you resort to extreme measures in order to guarantee winning. You generally assume that your opponent has more power than you, and that your own position is insecure. If it becomes obvious that you cannot win, you may turn your back on the threat and pretend it doesn't exist.

Your extremist temperament may alienate you from those whose cooperation you need in order to shore up your own defenses. You assert your will with such defiance and aggression that only the strong-hearted can put up with it. You need to use logic and temper your attitude with greater compromise. You may be preoccupied with sexual desire - using its power as a lever against others. Be careful that you do not destroy yourself in the process.

Nothing bothers you as much as being unaware or unsure of a situation. At times you will strike first, hoping to protect yourself, only later to regret your imprudent action. At other times you will encourage others to act while you conserve your energy.
In time you will gain enough confidence to make your own decisions. You feel sure of your own worth, and the security of your professional or domestic situation will no longer bother you.

The most persistent challenge you face is to recognize the right of others to assert themselves. Unless you allow this, you will constantly be harassed by people who will refuse to support you. You might also experience difficulty in regaining debts owed to you. These problems will be only temporary if you learn to cooperate with those whom you feel threatened by. Stop suspecting everyone whose opinions differs from yours.

At some point in your life you will undergo great changes and a psychological realignment. At that time you will be able to stand alone, fully self-assured. If you tolerate others rather than resent them for threatening you, you will realize that you have the authority to accomplish your objectives independently.

You were born with the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra, which means that you were born at or near the time of the Full Moon. This astrological combination is colored with the calming influence of Venus, the planetary ruler of Libra and the planet of love, thus somewhat toning down your aggressive, brusque and fiery Aries temperament. Your quick-reasoning Arian faculties are to some extent held in check. People born with the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra usually waste valuable time and energy deliberating too long on any subject.

You are fair and just in your dealings with others, and you are usually of a sunny disposition. You are a lover of culture, art and refinement, and you are attracted to legal pursuits and a career that would bring you before the public. An early marriage is indicated, due to your innate conjugal nature. This is because you were born at or near the time of the Full Moon.

In matters pertaining to your health, this Sun-Moon polarity indicates the liability to migraine headaches (Aries rules the head) and kidney trouble (Libra rules the kidneys). It also indicates problems with the skin. Total abstinence from all animal flesh as food is seriously recommended.

The conjunction between the Moon and Pluto in your horoscope shows that you love deeply and tenaciously. Rather than waste time in casual relationships, you continually look for someone who can respond to you with feelings as deep as your own. You will wait for this rare, elusive person rather than fall in love impulsively. Once in love, you can be very possessive and extremely demanding. You can be vindictive and callous if you are rejected, even towards the one you love. Domestically you can be a tyrant, and therefore difficult to live with. Unless you are careful and observant, you may permanently alienate your love ones, thereby creating your own loneliness.

Your drive to find a complete relationship will force you to continually re-evaluate both your partners and yourself. In time your personality may undergo drastic changes, and old acquaintances may find it difficult to recognize you as the person you once were. The Moon relates to emotions and fluctuating moods, while Pluto indicates a deep sense of regeneration. The conjoining of these two powerful orbs in your horoscope shows that you have an innate desire for new relationships, new loves, and new romances.

Sex is very important to you, and you will sometimes involve yourself in a physical relationship in order to satisfy your deep cravings for fulfillment. Even with a totally satisfying physical relationship, however, you will feel frustrated. You want more...you demand the heart and soul as well.

This aspect also indicates that you will not appear to be in control of your emotions. You are a very idealistic person, and you want the best relationship or none at all. You prefer to continue looking rather than settle for second-best. If you do not find that perfect someone you will wait and suffer, punishing yourself for craving the depth of human companionship that only an intimate relationship can give you. Even in friendship you choose only close, select companions, for any kind of superficial relationship rubs you the wrong way. In time you will learn to detach yourself from those who want just a casual relationship.

You may live half your life before you discover that a love you had years ago was the one most important to you. But this realization comes too late, for you discarded that love for a new one. Your vulnerability to love allows others to take advantage of you, and your fear of this leads you to be defensive. With your drive, however, you can also take advantage of others. In time you will need to sort out your various experiences in order of their importance to you.

This may sound difficult and hard to live with, but it can be a blessing in disguise when you find and enjoy your true love. If this is the love of your life, it will be deep, emotionally satisfying, and a means for your spiritual growth.

[This conjunction occurs in the 4th house of the home and family, and the Moon is accidentaly dignified (meaning its influences are strong) in this house.]

thanks aqil...for responding to my question...I am going thru that whole moon/pluto conjunction right now, for real. I'm trying to do the whole transformation of character, and regeneration and everything!! Plus...there is a full moon in scorpio this thursday, and neptune goes into retrograde on thursday, and then venus goes into taurus on friday (the day venus rules)...so thursday my venus in taurus will oppose the full moon,, but my uranus in scorpio will conjunct it, and then on friday my venus will conjunct transiting venus in taurus....so trust me these past two weeks, have been at the very least a revelation of my inner values and what needs --from the root to the heart changing....(seeing as how on the first of the month the new moon was in taurus)....

culture:

The T-Square involves two squares and one opposition, and has the ability to balance the two opposing planets, but the third planet is left dangling by itself. It squares two planets, but has no opposition and becomes a dynamic focal point of this configuration, usually reflecting self-drive. Whereas the opposition is concerned with relationships, the square seeks action. The house and sign of the focal planet, or "arm" as it's sometimes called, assumes great importance.

The T-Square in your chart involves Venus squaring Mars and Mars squaring Uranus. Venus opposes Uranus, and Mars, being the third planet of the T-Square, becomes the dynamic focal point of the T-Square. Your natal Mars is 26 degrees Leo, and tenants the 2nd house of money and material possessions. The empty house of the T-Square would be the 8th house, not the 7th. The 8th house is ruled by Scorpio on the natural zodiac, and has dominion over sex, death, taxes, insurances, inheritances, and other people's resources.

(Your Part of Fortune is 1 degree Aquarius, in the 7th house of marriage.)

The Ascendant (or rising sign) in a horoscope (the Creator’s plan for human development) is utilized primordially as a third and very important factor that complements the psychological information given by the combined positions of the Sun and Moon. Figuratively speaking, the Ascendant is the geometrical base that encloses the human triangle where its sides are represented by the individuality (the Sun) and the personality (the Moon).

At the time of your birth the cardinal water sign Cancer was ascending on the eastern horizon. Your life will be full of changes and intermittent periods of activity and idleness. Your vulnerability to external influences makes you subconsciously imitate the manners and ways of those with whom you relate. By the same token, you tend to inadvertently use the opinions of others as those of your own. You appear to others as a fairly hard individual; but actually you are tough only on the surface, just like the crab (Cancer’s symbol), whose shell is hard but soft and vulnerable underneath.

In many instances circumstances will require you to play the role of worldliness and sophistication, but under the mask there will exist a very sensitive individual who is easily offended, and very perceptive of the more subtle influences and impressions, as well as psychic vibrations. With Cancer rising your natural tendency is to completely retreat when hurt or frightened of a situation. This happens to you often because you tend to interfere in the affairs of others when you’re not wanted or needed

Throughout your life your responses will be emotional rather than rational. It will be very hard for you not to disguise your lack of sympathy for people who are not congenial towards you, and, conversely, you will be kind to those who are friendly in their relations with you. You will develop an inclination for compulsively collecting all sorts of miscellaneous objects that you regard as interesting, although after some time you will throw them away.

In matters pertaining to your health you seem to have good prospects. Minor digestive troubles should occur frequently, and there is also a strong inclination to gastric ulcers. And since the Moon, your cosmic ruler, tenants the 4th house of endings, a vegetarian diet is highly recommended for optimum health, which produces longevity.

Destiny may place you in environs in which your natural traits can best be expressed. You will be happier when allowed to be occupied with searching for a person or a thing, though not necessarily in important work. As far as family matters are concerned, you are not always the average person others seem to see, as you secretly nourish strange notions about child-rearing and home maintenance. Common housework, no matter how important your profession may be, is also attractive to you. Cooking, cleaning, home economics and interior design are some of your pastime hobbies.

The Moon, the fastest moving body in the Heavens, is the cosmic ruler of Cancer, and the key phrase for this sign is, “I feel.”

I'm an Aries and I feel like I've just been called out. Everything you said applies to me I've never been to smart about astrology so I never really paid it any mind but now I see its something to pay attention to. I started waslking at nine months and it came out of nowhere I just got up and walked. The thing about us not getting along with cancers, my mom is a Cancer is so laid back that we always fight about it. I dated a libra and it worked out even though we were completely different. You opened my eyes to quite a bit of knowledge concerning my personality, Thank you:)
