1. RESPECT IS NUMBER ONE IN OUR HOUSE - Respect for yourself, each Member of this Family, and their opinions. We have zero tolerance for disrespect. You will be asked to adjust your behavior, leave, or be forced to leave.

2. OPEN MIC VOICE CHAT ROOM - This is one of our two voice chat rooms (http://destee.com/chat), in here we relax, enjoy, laugh, and love. We read poetry, play music, sing, start and participate in discussions. No Disrespect is allowed. No swearing / cuss'n except in poetry (or in the music being played).

3. CLASSES VOICE CHAT ROOM - This is one of our two voice chat rooms (http://destee.com/chat), we hold our online classes (http://destee.com/classes) here (except Friday Night Poetry Throwdown! (http://www.destee.com/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&day=2004-4-2&e=19&c=1), which is held in the OPEN MIC voice chat room). You are welcome to host your own online class (http://www.destee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21729) if you'd like. All decent and proper topics are welcome. Please respect the teacher and their topic. Do not engage in off-topic discussions in this room, while a class is being held. Hold off-topic discussions in PM (private message).

4. Do Not Jack The Microphone - Do not take (jack) the microphone from someone who already has it. If you want the microphone, click on the TALK REQ. buton in the room, or press a 1 into the room ... and you will be added to the list of those waiting for the mic.

5. FIVE (5) MINUTE MIC LIMIT - IF OTHERS ARE WAITING - Please respect the fact that someone has requested the microphone, or that others are waiting in line, and keep your comments brief. There is only one microphone per room, and we must share it. This does not apply to teachers during their respective classes.

6. Do Not Curse / Swear - This is not allowed on the microphone or in text. The only exceptions to this rule, are if you are reading poetry, reading a book, or it is in the song you are playing.

7. Do Not Use The "N Word" - This is not allowed on the microphone or in text. The only exceptions to this rule, are if you are reading poetry, reading a book, or it is in the song you are playing.

8. Do Not Use Sexually Explicit Language or Names - This is not allowed and there are no exceptions.

No one is above the rules, but Moderators may take the microphone, or give the microphone to another Member ... among other things ... in an effort to maintain our peace and flow.
