You are very sensual, loving and affectionate. Sexual expression is very important to you. You are shy, sensitive, and essentially reserved, though you sometimes experience wild moods of unrestrained gaiety...
You are best mated only to the earth signs. Taurus would be an excellent choice, for both of you are sexually attractive and the Taurus personality would help stabilize your deep emotions. Capricorn is also very passionate, and the conservative nature of this cardinal earth sign would help bridle your propensity toward self-sacrifice. The ambitious nature of The Goat would compel you to realize your full potential. Virgo also shares your sensuality, but it is the nature of The Virgin to find fault, and your ego may be weakened by so much criticism. Therefore, the natural affinity of earth and water would be best expressed in the selection of either a Taurus or Capricorn mate...
Avoid any union with one of the fire signs. Aries will insist upon dominating you, and, though you try hard to please, you are no match for the combative Arian. You would dampen Leo’s magnanimous ardor, and Sagittarius would be a challenge to your cherished serenity...
And forget ever mating with the air signs. Such a union could only be transitory and unsatisfactory. Gemini would find you indolent and nonintellectual; Libra would use you to fan the flames of jealousy in someone else; and with the nonsexual Aquarian you would have nothing to hold the relationship together...
A relationship with another Piscean or the other water signs is also inadvisable. The unstable, moody and changeable nature of Cancer is too close for mutual comfort. A union with Scorpio would be a total washout. And with another Pisces there would be too much poetry and too little practicality. In other words, too much water and someone will drown!...
alyce 02-19-2001, 11:31 PM I'm interested in knowing about my own sign, Aries. I find astrology fascinating, and even relevant sometimes. Thank you in advance.
leggs623 02-22-2001, 07:56 AM I agree with alyce... My knowledge of astrology is limited but the little i do know about my sign is representative. Can you tell me more, i am Gemini ... I'm also interested in my in/compatibility with my spouse who is a Cancer. Tks>
Legacy21 07-03-2002, 01:01 PM Peace Aquil,
I find your text on the signs extremely interesting, and some of it very true but I find the statement about a relationship between the Pisces and Scorpio would be a total washout to be untrue. Other astrological research of mine shows that the Pisces-Scorpio combination is the basis for a well balanced, beneficial, and solid relationship--darn near wedding bells. I suppose that there are varying views of the sign combinations, but I just felt the need to state this.
Peace,
Legacy
Nia Maishani 10-06-2002, 01:22 PM Aqil, I greatly appreciate this overview for my Zodiac sign as it relates to proper and improper pairing, and I thank you for sharing it. I found it to be starkly on point, but have a couple of questions about it. I too would like more of an elaboration on the Pisces-Scorpio combination, and your advising against it. I ask this not because I am paired with Scorpio or have been, but because the statement related to that particular pairing was vague. Secondly, based on my recollection of the personalities of three Aquarians I know, they seem to be the exact opposite of "nonsexual"; could you please clarify that also? Third, is Aquarius not the water-bearer? How is Aquarius categorized as an air sign? Finally, I expecially appreciate what was stated about Pisces-Pisces pairing (I can so fully relate) and Pisces-Gemini (can relate here fully as well). I now overstand precisely why I did not wish to continue with Leo. Thank you again, and I hope you will respond.
P.S....I LOVE Tauruses and have experienced unrequited (infatuation) with Virgo.
You're welcome Nia:
I said that Pisces and Scorpio would be a washout because affectionate, sympathetic Pisces will seem very shallow to the intense Scorpion, who values – above all else – in-depth relationships...
Re: Aquarius...
Many people think that Aquarius is a water sign because the symbol for Aquarius is called The Water Bearer. However, Aquarius is an air sign... (Libra and Gemini are the others). The water in the urn the bearer is carrying represents knowledge, and it is the duty of the Aquarian to pour (i.e., spread) knowledge, wisdom and overstanding...
Nia Maishani 10-09-2002, 10:35 AM Yet I am still unclear on how one who values an in-depth relationship would find Pisces (who is deeply affectionate and compassionate) to be shallow. Also, what is meant by Aquarians being nonsexual? Thank you again.
Nia
In reference to your queries:
SCORPIO:
Under the rulership of Mars and co-ruled by Pluto: an instinctive nature, violent, passionate, undisciplined, rebellious, imperious, hard, aggressive, sometimes full of animosity, but also anguished, obsessive and morbid. An instinctive mind, a "nose" for the good, curiosity... In love matters: obsessed by physical pleasures, suffering outbursts of passion...Politically: favors violence; extremist nature, aggressive, fiercely militant, combative...
PISCES:
Under the rulership of Neptune: a nature that seethes with concealed passions; fluid and unstable impressions, indefinable sensations and emotions. Inclined to fantasy, evasiveness, hypersensitivity, impressionability, indecisiveness, uncertainty; compassion, devotion and self-sacrifice. A poetic mind, intuitive, sensory and penetrating. In love matters: sensual or mystical, self-sacrificing and dedicated. Politically: produces visionaries, leaders of popular movements, or adventurers...
AQUARIUS:
Under the rulership of Uranus: a light, airy nature; vibrant, ethereal, sensitive, emotional and idealistic. Lacking in spirit, but self-sacrificing and able to devote themselves to a higher cause. A free-ranging, up-to-the-minute mind, interested in progress, reform, and new ideas...In love matters: independent, whimsical, friendly. Politically: often liberally progressive and in favor of reforms...
Pisces is the most emotional of all the signs in the zodiac...Scorpio is the most powerful sign in the zodiac...Aquarius is advant garde, airy, very intellectual...
Nia Maishani 10-10-2002, 11:21 PM I am really gaining some deep insight into my personality here. Could you please answer just a few more questions?
1. What can be done to combat some of the negatives related to being a Piscean (indecisiveness, inclined to fantasy and evasiveness)?
2. "most emotional" is a tactful way of saying what?
3. You told another member that he is a "triple" Sagittarius. How so? And what are my specifics if I am born on the 24th day of February?
4. Does the name "ArtDeeva" mean anything to you (just curious)?
Asante sana.
What can be done to combat some of the negatives related to being a Piscean (indecisiveness, inclined to fantasy and evasiveness)? My thread "Pisces The Fish" deals with your concerns.
"Most emotional" is a tactful way of saying what? Not a "tactful" way of saying anything, Nia. Water represents emotion in astrology...and the water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces...and of the three, Pisces is the most emotional sign.
You told another member that he is a "triple" Sagittarius. How so? And what are my specifics if I am born on the 24th day of February? This is so because his cosmic signature (Sun-sign, Moon-sign and rising sign) are all in the fire sign Sagittarius...re: your birth data...I would need your date, time and place of birth in order to construct a natal chart for you.
Does the name "ArtDeeva" mean anything to you (just curious)?I remember an "ArtDeeva" who used to post on BV a couple of years ago. We became the best of friends...I have often wondered what ever happened to her...
Hypnotize 10-23-2002, 07:45 PM I've always known Scorpio's to be very aggressive - passively or outwardly -- but as a pisces male, I'm "supposed" to be in sync w/ Scorpio's, Taurus', Capricorn and I've seen a few dozen books
regard Cancer as a possible romantic match.
But the deep waters of a Pisces/Pisces relationship
seem to suit me most --- I think that would be the only
type of woman who would understand me as I understand me, yet be objective enough to help me grow in areas i'm not hyp to.
I know there are exceptions for every rule, and it's possible that my dreaminess lends me to the thought that Pisces/Pisces
would be the best path --- but Aqil, do you see any way for it to work ?
Pisces is the most emotional of all the signs, Hypnotize, thus in a relationship with another Piscean there may be a deep psychic bond. However, too much emotion and too little practicality can cause problems in a Pisces/Pisces relationship...
And with too much water, someone is liable to drown... :(
Nia Maishani 04-11-2003, 03:40 AM I have returned to this thread today to request a bit of advice on the present relationship of which I am 1/2. I strongly believe that I am on the brink of being "in love" (for the first time). The same could be stated (in all likelihood) of him (the other 1/2). I have not yet determined my time of birth, but was wondering if you could give insight on our compatability, based on our dates of birth. He was born on the eighth day of February in the year 1973. I was born on the 24th day of the same month, same year. We were born in different states, are both our mothers' second child, lots of other things in common. I thank you in advance. Happy to offer additional info. if needed.
Nia
You are a Piscean, Nia, and your prospective mate is an Aquarian. Re: compatibility, this is not a good combination. Pisces is a water sign; Aquarius is an air sign, and such a union could only be transitory and unsatisfactory. Water and air causes storms...
liquyd 06-29-2003, 03:09 AM 32 years of astrological interest(my first chart done for me at birth), and this is the first time I've heard Pisces/Scorpio is not advisable. BUT, it makes perfect sense. I've been reading the wrong books, I'm studying with you from now on Aqil! Thanks...
You're quite welcome, liquyd...

So real. For some reason my life has been full of Piscean male friendships and relationships. It's like I can't get away from myself. When asking a man when his birthday is, I always know he's gonna say "March ?" 9 times out of 10, strange. BUT, in my dealings with the Piscean male, I find we are better suited as friends, we truly understand each other, but CAN"T STAND each other for long periods, lol. I always say Pisces men are 'crazy' which makes me wonder how crazy I am.....
DreamFunk 07-09-2003, 01:46 AM Aqil, do you know of any astrological tendensies for a Pisces to be attracted to Leo's?
Yes DreamFunk,
Leo often makes the best friends for Pisces because the Leo’s warm heart and need for adulation can accept wholeheartedly the devotion and admiration that the Piscean is so ready to give...
soulful03 07-09-2003, 09:55 AM me being a pisces have dated quite a few of the other signs, Leos seem too easy to stray. He was always checking out other females, I didnt have his full attention. Then there was this virgo who was very romantic, but was very quiet. I've dated a few of the others, but so far this sagatirius i dated for almost 3 years was my best match. He was smart, totally faithful and always easy to get along with, but a little too dominant....
Aqil would you only advise to stick with your astrological compatible mates or would something like the union of pisces & sagitarrius work?
First of all, water and fire are incompatible elements, soulful03. However, it may be that you have the Moon in Sagittarius or Sagittarius rising. And if Gemini is your rising sign, Sagittarius would be your natural mate...
Secondly, your mate may have a Pisces Moon or Pisces rising. And if Virgo is his rising sign, Pisces would be his natural mate...

I agree with you 100% on that one...

 WHAA?...i cant agree with that one....maybe its because my mother and sister are both Sagatirius...and boy did we use to clash :)...I've also been in a relationship with one.....I feel that they are "hard-headed" or somthing, that they dont really listen...and that they LOVE drama (somthing that I dispise).....or is it just me???.....liquyd did say us Pisces males are 'crazy' :) ....:(...:)....
[QUOTE].....I feel that they are "hard-headed" or somthing, that they dont really listen...and that they LOVE drama (somthing that I dispise).....or is it just me???...QUOTE]
i was wit this girl about year, she was sagitarrius and she was tight, no bull no drama, but she was so independent, gotta do things her way......that girl was fine as hell too!
rachel0497 08-01-2003, 06:24 PM Aqil,
I need your advice! I am very attracted to an Aquarian-according to this and other astrological sources, we should not be compatible at all! Can you help me with understanding where the attraction lies, and whether he and I would be compatible? My birth data is as follows: 2/28/77, 4:23 AM, Houston TX. I am not sure what his is, but he was born 2/7/65, Houston TX. Thanks for any help you can provide!
rachel:
You are a Pisces with the Moon in Cancer, and Capricorn is your rising sign. Your chart indicates that a mate born under the sign Cancer would be ideal for you...
Your friend is an Aquarian with the Moon in either Aries or Taurus. Depending on his time of birth, he might have Pisces rising...or Virgo rising...which would indicate that a Piscean female would be an excellent choice for him... :)
rachel0497 08-02-2003, 10:35 AM Thanks Aqil! :)
rachel0497 08-02-2003, 08:25 PM Based on my chart info, what other signs would generally be compatible with me? Thanks again!
All the earth signs (Capricorn/Taurus/Virgo)...especially Taurus. With the other water signs (Cancer & Scorpio) there would be too much water, and someone might drown...
(Water represents emotion in astrology, and Pisces is the most emotional of all the signs.)
Justerika 08-04-2003, 12:40 PM Aqil, I'm a pisces and I've been following this thread, I know
what you've advised as far as Pisces and Gemini but I'm
somewhat involved with a Gemini and I've never experienced
such passion........I mean it's off the charts and he appears and
has communicated how "intrigued" he is by me, why such a
strong attraction.......I'm not saying there haven't been days
where we weren't in sync but overall.....it's unbelievably
magnetic. Why is this, it's actually a little scary the mental
connection.
Also, I've been checkin out a Virgo and I've also read your thread
on this sign...he's taking it slow but at times is very forward and
the approach is so strong, it disarms me...but I think I'm falling
for this one.....it's as if his words echo in my soul.........what is
your knowledge on Pisces and Virgo in particular and the rate
of success? I'm really thinking I could settle down with this one
and not have to worry about the future. "What do you think?"
Nia Maishani 08-14-2003, 05:15 PM Back to thank you again for your feedback, Aqil. I must say, you were correct. I just finished wasting 8 months with an Aquarian who turned out to be WRONG WRONG WRONG for me. It amzes me how RIGHT he (and the relationship) SEEMED in the beginning. I mean, we had 99% mutual interests. There is only one, and ONLY ONE significant point on which we disagreed (race relations). Everything else was strict concurrence. But toward the end, his true colors began to surface. For some strange reason, it seemed just about every Monday, he'd do and/or say something totally asinine and uncalled for to disrupt the harmony in our relationship. I'm glad to be out of that toxic pairing.
I still need to find out my time of birth, and come back with all the info. I truly wish to find out which sign is going to be my best match. I shall return soon.
Nia
SIDEBAR
Oh, by the way, I had become very good friends with ArtDeeva as well. She had some e-stalkers that she had to get away from, and after she changed her e-mail address, we were only in contact for a short period before we lost contact somehow. She had very high regard for you, and was a great person to know.
Good 2cu again, Nia. Yes, ArtDeeva was very special. Say hello to her for me whenever you communicate with her again...
Nia Maishani 10-24-2003, 04:25 PM O.k. Aqil, I know what all you stated about the Pisces-Virgo pairing. Presently, I am paired with the second Virgo I can recall having ever paired with. Of everyone I've ever dated, the Virgos (2) have been the ones I've had the strongest attraction toward. Incredible magnetism. Initially, I had very little faith in the relationship, because 1) we are VERY different in terms of our interests & some of our beliefs and 2) I've historically never taken well to California (or West Coast) men. However, time has revealed that we have very good conversation, and magnificent chemistry. So far, he is anything but critical of me. Do you need times/places of birth to advise on our prospects as a successful match? So far, all I have is dates & places of birth.
klevared 11-07-2003, 07:50 AM my birthday is on 2/19.......
some say pieces and some say aqurius and then I heard someone say that I am a bicusbid (Hopefully the correct spelling)
could u help me out......which sign would I be
I usually read for both signs ......and I seem to have traits of both
Thank you in advance for advice u can give me
You were born on the cusp of Aquarius/Pisces, klevared...however, you are definitely an Aquarian - the Sun doesn't enter Pisces until the 22nd or 23rd...
Bklyn@Heart7 12-28-2003, 12:14 AM you think? pisces sun working well with someone with a virgo rising, being that the signs are polar opposites?...
i don't agree...
especially if the aquarian has a taurus moon which equates to stubborn emotions...
and since this pisces has a strong rising like capricorn, she would do better with an eagle scorpio with some water in his chart like pisces and an air rising...
i know this for a fact b/c i'm a pisces with a capricorn rising...and my mate has water in her and air...I don't do well with anyone with fire, taurus or cancer....no air sun signs either...
and yes I'm female ....
rachel:

The Pisces native possesses a nature that seethes with concealed passions; fluid and unstable impressions, indefinable sensations and emotions...Pisceans are inclined to fantasy, evasiveness, hypersensitivity, impressionability, indecisiveness, uncertainty; compassion, devotion and self-sacrifice. A poetic mind, intuitive, sensory and penetrating...
In love matters Pisceans are sensual, mystical, self-sacrificing and dedicated...
To reiterate:

A union with Scorpio would be a total washout. And with another Piscean there would be too much poetry and too little practicality. In other words, too much water...(someone might drown!)
DreamFunk 07-04-2004, 11:52 PM ....do any of you Pisces females even actually like Pisces males (in general), relationship wise...???
.
Do you think a Pisces Sun works well with someone with Virgo rising, being that the signs are polar opposites?Yes, Bklyn...with Virgo rising the sign Pisces would be on the cusp of the 7th house of marriage, intimate relationships and business partnerships...
Bluewater 03-02-2006, 12:52 PM Hi Brother Aqil
I found all this very interesting, I have been with my Leo mate for many years,
It did take alot of adjustment on both our part but it was worth it.
Fire and Water makes a lot of steamy heat.:) He likes to talk I like to listen..
The moments are never dull. But it at times it can be quite draining
Thank You for the Birthday Blessing dear brother
Peace and Love
