i stood nakedly before her.
she had taken off all my clothes.
with my insecurities revealed
i stood before her
naked and unashamed.
with all my bumps and bruises exposed
all my cuts and curves surfaced
she read the story of my lives
as i had lived many lives
and died many deaths
and she read me...
so plainly
so clearly
form the tattered remains
of a body once beautiful
birthed in perfection
battered by imperfections
my genesis in purity
my exodus into into impurity
my revelation of humanity
i was naked
and she kissed my every wound
with love and affection
that made me whole
she kissed my scars
with a balm of knowledge and understanding
for as i stood naked and ashamed of me
she did not judge
she did not run away
she did not condemn
but by her commitment to me
she brought me to a state of being - unashamed.

wildflower7 - be sure of this - no man will ever become the man he was ordained to be until he is grounded in the love of a woman who draws the best out in him. much love sis!

if he abides alone, he remains incomplete, with out the most complementary part of self - his missing rib!

Wow...to find someone who can be that for you, not a judge, but one who helps to heal and uplift, what a beautiful thought expressed into verse.
