I’ve never written a perfect poem
for I have continually found that once I have written from the depths of my soul, my soul grows deeper.
I’ve never written a perfect poem
for each time I express the heartbreak of a broken heart
love finds a way to break it once again.
I’ve never written a perfect poem
for each time the expressions of my pen,
are reflective of this depraved society,
it is only made to bleed once again
as i consider this day’s social dismay.
I’ve never written a perfect poem
never lived a perfect life.
never loved a perfect love
never been a perfect poet.
and yet I write
for not to write would be a sin against my poetic soul
and I would fail destiny,
miss the purpose for which this poet was born...
to someday, somehow by the bleeding of the heart
the tragic soliloquy of the soul, or by the
conquest of deep, dark valleys of despair
live a life that writes the perfect poem.

I love this peace, because it defines the innet haunts of the poet to a T....maybe not perfect, but close :D....keep scribin', cause I'm definitely feeling the flow.
