I know I'm online a lot ... how about you?

What do you do less of now ... because that time is spent online?

I rarely watch television anymore and don't read (for pleasure) much either.

I don't even miss television ...

I "useta" :-) spend a lot of time online at various websites in the past, and until I surfed upon Destee.com my time online was very minute'. When I was online more, the one thing that "suffered or I did less of" was reading.

My computer has always been more than a hobby, I use it extensively in my work, so I'm always on it, but surfing and being online has been reduced drastically. If I wasn't involved with this one website www.kenyada.com (Glenn over there) ... and hadn't found you...I would probably only check my email and surf only occassionally.

As you know, our forum is overwhelmingly made up of poets and poetry ... so it's really nice when folk come and participate in the discussions.

I visited www.kenyada.com and signed their guestbook too! Such an inspiring, encouraging and much needed effort they are doing over there.

Like you, my computer is used extensively in my work and I'm online most of the time. Even if I'm not actively surfing, working, etc., I'm "on."

A lot i spen so much time on line because i love what i do at destee.com
i love to write and read , learn and i get all that here so my time outside
the home is less now and keeps me from trouble that lurks outside , i do
watch games but not much more on T.V and i save money this way too now
i don't shop like i use too between work and working on line here it take up
nearly all my time and day ..........guess u can say i'm a cyber junkie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

being on line has enhance my creativity and skillz and style to a new level
right now working on publishing my first book of my own and another one
with the great family of destee's poets , I have this love for poetry that
keeps me on line daily , nightly

It depends what else I have going on in my life. Lately I have been spending less time online. Doesn't mean I'm spending more money, or getting into things that I shouldn't. I love being online, but I don't like feeling that I am addicted to the net. Not a good feeling when the computer crashes or something similiar happens. Interesting topic.

Being on line is like eating at a smorgasbord. The meal is unlimited and it never seems to run out. I am always reading something. Looking up something. I didn't get started on the net ( at work it was 1997 ) ( at home ) until 2000. So I have a few years. What I found was the same old thing on sites I visited like BET, and another black owned site I joined for a while. Mad writings. Hate speech. Threats of bodily harm in text. Talk of sex, and rumors of sex. ( You know what they say about those who talk about it must not be doing much about it )

When I first got introduced to Destee.. and I miss my sponsor.. she was too much for the place. She would kick the doors open screaming revolution now!

But she told me about this great place she found, where life was different and hope abounded. Even her hard shell cracked for the chance to experience something different. Sword always in hand. I witnessed her battling for black american justice, respect to be without prejudice and all harrassment. She was a changer, A true warrior. I think she didn't know when to put down her sword, and realize she had arrived in an oasis of change. I miss her, she is a fighter like me. I admired that about her.

I have never written so much. So I think being on line has opened up to me all kinds of aspirations. This year I have commited to writing a book. One on my own and one with the poets of Destee. Being on line I have confirmed the world is still twisted, and I get a first hand view of the madness we face.

It's sad because there are millions of web sites out there but everyday..I wake up to www.destee.com/forums then I check my e-mail then it's right back to the forum. I try to think of other site to visit but there's no place like hom...even if we have bed sheets covering the windows still...lol

Im online alot I use the internet just like I use any other tool that I own I wear it out lol. :dance1:

I have to admit that I'm online a lot (news junky & cheap). Destee.com is usually the 1st site I visit and the last one before I go to bed!

Work keeps me online so...yeah...7-8 hours a day.

I good bit. But I love it.

I'm online a lot...mostly for research. However, I get some online socializing in from time to time. :D

I'm not online that much, I gots work and school. But when I am on, I sho nuff am on this site. :geek:

I was pretty balanced with my necessity to get online until I came here to Destee's :lol: ...but then I had a shift in my work load was away from here for a while

...I was wondering if I would keep posting since sister Queenie has left :cry: :cry: .....:D

I am on line a little, can't always write the way I want to, the mind is quicker then the fingers at times. But the subjects of discussion are interesting and enlightening.

But I'm glad I found this site. I'm slowly starting to come a little more often.

:new: :heart: :huh: Too much for my own good.. its an addiction.. i work in front of a computer on my 9-5// wekends i wake up.. protien shake in hand,... and check email.. the forums.. and etc. .. that lasts till about 12noon.. then in and out throught the day.. and I usually check it one more time.. b4 i go to sleep.. and when i wake up in the middle of the night to tinkle :poop: .. again when i wake up.. **repeat**/// weekdays.. i get on when i get to work.. then when i get off i check the last thread that had my attention b4 i left.. once more @nite.. and so on.. its quite redikulous.. and pityful too.. but the time goes by :time: and theres always something :new: tomorrrow.. !

I'm a net junkee but I'm not on as much as I used to be....... so this is what withdraw feels like huh? :insane:
