My role ... as Ashes
Regret does not cross my mind
Nor does what my role in life is
A life similar to that of wind and rain
My ashes to dance
My tears to sing
As I am entwined with this world
My time is not over but my soul feels used, abused and drained
So much chaos, so much confusion
Where oh where shall I stand
What oh what more can I do
Events of past, events of present
Let not the ways of those concern
Nothing need ever be feared
I am equipped with the necessary tools
Time spent wisely, I have no regrets
As my ashes dance
As my role is defined
While my tears sing
For 30 years I felt as though I danced to my own rules and rhythm
Not true
I was guided by the spirit
I was and still am an individual who felt with passion
I love and show unconditional love

Happy just to be
Loving the chance to be a part
Of a life similar to that of dust and air
Allow my ashes to breathe
For my role as ashes is that of a pilgrim on sojourn
I'm truly blessed,
