Vision
Richelle "Vision" Herndon was raised in the city of
Miami. She is the only child to her parents and has never wanted for anything in her life. After graduation from American High School in Miami Lakes, FL, Vision moved to Tallahassee to further her education at Florida A & M University. Her freshman year was a blast. Vision relished every moment of being a "rattler." Parties, clubs, football games, basketball games, you name the event, Vision was there. She quickly became known by her burnt orange Mustang and her looks. Standing at 5'8 and 140 pounds, Vision was truly a vision many eyes wanted to see. Both men and women, young and old sometimes inappropriately gawked at the young brown skin beauty.
Vision was an elementary education major at FAMU. She enjoyed dancing, reading, and swimming, to show off her gym-enhanced body and unique heart-shaped birthmark on the small of her back. Her life seemed perfect and it felt even more
perfect when she met Cameron Wakefield in her senior year.
Cameron was a tall, dark, well-built, handsome brother majoring
in political science and contract negotiations. Vision had
previously dated all types of people from CEO's to dope dealers
but never had she ran across anyone like Cameron. He was a man of few words but spoke volumes with his presence. Though he listened more than he spoke, Cameron was fluent in four
languages. He was always dressed neatly and seemed to ooze
confidence. The very glance from his eyes made Vision want to
abandon herself into his arms for life but she couldn't. There
were things about her that he didn't know and she wouldn't dare
tell him voluntarily.
.....i will post more tomorrow....

story 09-27-2002, 10:39 AM Natalie
"Goodnight mommy," Natalie's son said.
"Goodnight sweetie," she said after she kissed him on
the forehead.
Natalie Simms is mother to Khalil Simms and the only
child to Donovan and Marcia Simms. She lives in a two bedroom
apartment in the Ft. Greene section of Brooklyn, New York and
is the head chef for Flick International Food Corporation Mid-
town Manhattan. After tucking in her son Khalil, Natalie
headed toward her bathroom to take a shower before laying
down. She had a long surprised day and was extremely tired.
As warm pellets of water splashed down on her,
Natalie's mind drifted on to Terri. She didn't know why her
mind drifted so far back to Terri. Natalie could remember six
years ago when she'd first saw Terri. Even then, she knew that
Terri was the woman for her, even if she didn't know it yet.
Natalie lathered her body up with Irish Spring soap and drifted
deep into a memory. Six years ago, Natalie was a senior at
Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. She majored in
nutrition and culinary arts. Terri was a drop out of
Tallahassee Community College and worked as a telephone
operator for a 976 number. They first met at a club, The Moon,
on an August night. It was a heterosexual club but her gaydar
was on and Natalie just knew that she wasn't the only
undercover in the room that night. Jay-Z was being pumped
through the speakers and everyone was dancing and having a good
time.
Natalie saw Terri go into the ladies room and
followed. She figured that it was her chance to speak up if
there ever was a chance. But Natalie was struck with
nervousness when she entered. What was she doing? What if her gaydar was wrong? What if it wasn't? How would she feel?
Natalie stole stares at Terri through the mirror as she washed
her hands but Terri caught her. And Terri smiled.
"That's a nice outfit you're wearing," Terri
complimented.
"Thanks," Natalie said, grateful that Terri broke the
ice.
"Hey, I saw you out on the dance floor and I think we
may have a few things in common," Terri said.
Natalie was frozen. What did she mean?
"Cat got your tongue?"
"No---not really," Even through Natalie's nervousness,
she could here the mellow smooth version of Maxwell's Sumthin
Sumthin being played in the club.
"Well, I hope not because I'd hate to give you my
number and some other kitty has your tongue."
This girl is bold! Natalie thought, but she liked
it. "Oh I see, well I can assure you that if you gave me your
number I won't have a problem speaking. No one---nothing has
my tongue," Natalie said and smiled.
That was six years ago, Natalie remembered as she now lay down in her bed. She was so engulfed in the memory she went through the motions in the shower got dressed for bed
without getting side tracked. Natalie and Terri only had a
brief relationship though. Terri proved to be too much for
Natalie to handle. Terri loved money and the absolute best in
life. She had worked as a 976 phone operator and also an
escort to finance her high maintenance lifestyle.
Natalie and Terri kept in touch for about a year or so
after they broke up but soon after that, Terri seemed to had
fallen too far in the life. Between then and now, Natalie had
finished school, moved to New York, had a son, Khalil, and
lived comfortably single. She adopted Khalil when he was five
months old. And now she her job with Flick has stationed her
as the head chef in the cafeteria of the Philip Morris on Park
Avenue in Manhattan.

story 10-22-2002, 12:58 PM Cameron
Cameron was in his senior year at FAMU and eagerly anticipating graduation. His plan was to attend Colubia Law School in New York City upon graduation. Everything seemed perfect. He worked part-time for a small firm in Tallahassee while attending under grad. He had one of the prettiest girls on campus on his arm and his pockets were hardly ever empty. Cameron's fauther and twin brother, Cameron's Uncle, used to be partners and owned a law firm that Cameron worked for but Cameron's father passed away five years before and only his Uncle Hugh ran it now. His uncle hoped Cameron would return to Tallahassee after he finished law schol but Cameron couldn't wait to submerge himself in the big city of New York and wasn't sure he would even want to return to Tallahassee. It was too early to worry about that anyway.
story 10-23-2002, 01:04 PM When Cameron first started working at the firm, he was quiet but after a while he started to go out for drinks with the paralegals and even sometimes with his Uncle. His uncle was quite the opposite of what Cameron's stern father used to be. And it was after a few months with them that Cameron began frequenting exotic nightclubs. His girlfriend then, Richelle, knew he went to the clubs sometimes but she had quite a busy night life herself.
The only thing wrong in Cameron's seemingly perfect life was his unyielding desire for sex with women. For six months, he slept only with Reichelle but one night he was told by co-workers about an escort service that they sometimes used. Cameron thought heavily on the idea but wasn't sure if he should do it. Was this smoe kind of manly test by them? Or did they actually frequen the clubs AND cheat on their wives? Cameron wasn't married but would that make him less guilty?
story 10-25-2002, 10:02 AM Natalie
Natalie's day starts at 4 am. She gets her son Khalil up and
take him to her parents house and then she drives to the train
station where she parks her Nissan Altima and takes the subway
to work. Right now she is seeking another place of employment
that will have a more flexible schedule for her and Khalil. It
is beginning to be too much to drop him off so early and depend
on her parents to take him to school. Natalie picks him up from
school in the afternoon but by the time she gets in and settles
down, she is exhausted. Last week she interviewed for a
position in the cafeteria at Pace University in Lower
Manhattan. The location is closer to her home and the hours are
much more flexible. She hoped that she would get the job.
_______________
It's Monday, September 9, 2002 and Natalie has just got in from
work. On this particular day she was glad that she brought food
home because she was in no mood to cook dinner. Her son Khalil
seems to have a grown man's appetite trapped inside a six year
old body. He eats all the time and amazingly doesn't gain an
ounce. After she changes clothes, feed him, and help with his
homework, she realizes that she didn't check to see if she had
any voice mail messages. Natalie has been in a little funk for
about a week and didn't expect anyone with good news to be
calling. She hadn't heard anything about the job, she has no
social life, and is late on a few bills. She looked at the
phone and shook her head. She decided to check tomorrow.
Rays of sunlight poured into Natalie's bedroom like a water
from a fountain. It was a beautiful morning, even if the sun
was a little hard on the eyes at first. Then suddenly she
thought---the sun? Natalie overslept, she was usually on her
breakfast break by the time was shining at full force. She was
surprised that her boss didn't call and reached over to grab
the phone to call in. She looked at the side of the phone and
saw that the ringer was off and sighed. And at that moment she
decided she wasn't going in. No, she's calling in sick. When
Natalie pressed the "talk" button she heard several dialtones
indicating that she had un-heard voice-mail messages. She
called to check her messages and was excited when she heard a
messages from Pace asking that she call at her earliest
convenience. Natalie knew that companies don't call you if they
don't want to hire you so she figured that she got the job! The
next message was from her boss and the last message sounded
like someone was about to speak but changed their mind and hung
up.
