A man goes into court on an Income Tax beef. The judge looks at the file, and then at the man.

"Sir, you owe the government $25,048 dollars. Why didn't you pay your taxes?

"Your honor, I forgot!"

"You'll remember next year!" said the Judge. "and, to help your memory, here's a year in prison."
